I listen to music, usually something soft and relaxing, nibble on an assortment of fattening snacks, sip coffee and flick my bookmark across my leg, much to everyone’s annoyance.?
Lay down preferably?. I like a bit of classical music on quietly in the background sometimes. Can’t eat snacks as I have to put the book down, demolish them all then start reading again?.
When I first started to read game of thrones after the second series was in TV, I quite enjoyed reading the book whilst listening to the sound track. I’m hardcore like that see ?
@Adam-Caleb By using my eyes on the road and focus the ears on the audiobook 😛 Technically not reading but w/e ^^ I did watch the entire Breaking Bad show while walking tho, wasnt that difficult :3
On the weekends, I like to wake up, make coffee and then drink it while I read. My partner usually sleeps in so I get pure silence for at least 2 hours
@Michael I know a couple who read while having sex too. She does doggy while reading a magazine over the side of the bed and he reads a kindle on her back. No joke. That’s a book club I never want to join. ??
Read and drink copious amounts of decaf jasmine green tea ? ? ? ? preferably in the evening under a blanket with cozy lighting ❤️? or daytime minus the blanket, so long as its quiet I’m happy ❤️
Garden, I could finish half a book putzing around in the yard. Chore’ing in general is more tolerable with an audiobook. If it’s nice, a hike, a snack on a log in the woods and going back down the trail on someone’s back. ? I’m joshin. I cant listen to the book going back down because I’m fantasizing about being carried down.
Cup of tea, blanket and the corner spot on the sofa. Preferably without any of the demons I created trying to talk to me but that’s a dream for now!! ?
Gets very annoying when he starts on the face haha. Then he gets offended and acts like I’ve shamed his ancestors when I roll over to get away from him.
@Ben the cold and snow here is actually good for getting into the atmosphere of the 2 books I am currently reading ? both are taking place in the freezing cold and snow! The Wolf in the Whale and Assassin’s Quest.
@Ben trade places with ya?? Haha or let’s place swap for a few months a year? Preferably for the months from Jan to April… You get snow, I get no snow and the ability to go to rugby league games! ?
I usually try to read while my rat is out of his cage playing and stretching his legs. Otherwise bus time is read time. And sometimes in bed before sleeping if I am not passing out.
Underwater basket weaving with my feet while giving a puppet show to sharks with my hands and playing a kazoo or riding a unicycle while juggling chainsaws and swallowing swords obviously
Read….lol jokes(not jokes)… Mostly I like quiet while I’m reading but I can drown any noise out if the book is good enough.. and I fall asleep reading every single night(single life..gotta love it).. on the weekends I love to read in the mornings with a coffee.. always makes the day better
I can’t really do anything else unless it’s an audio book, but I have enjoyed being so deep into a novel that I’ve not realised it’s gone dark until I can no longer read the words well enough to stay lost.
I used to enjoy having a snack and a drink, but had to give that up when I discovered that yes – I could be ‘gone’ enough to drink a whole bottle of wine and not realise until I stood up… and yes, be ‘gone’ enough to eat an entire bar of chocolate and not realise until I felt sick. Neither seemed like a good thing to continue doing, so if I have food and drink, I only put the glass and the bit I can eat within reach, instead of the whole lot.
If it’s an audio book, I like sewing or embroidery, I can also do traces of Celtic knotwork. I have an exercise routine I can do while listening, but I ‘switched up’ recently and now just focus on not passing out while doing it.

Literally nothing. I need silence to concentrate
Read.
I like to have music on in the background, but that is because I am a very musical person and always need music
Drink a coffee!
Drink tea and play music x
Read
Music or football as background noise.
I’ve never heard of anyone who could read while there’s a match on. Well done!
Drink Tea ?
I never read any more. I listen to everything on audiobook. I can do all my ADLs whilst listening.
Hide from the kids!?
Do you read in a cupboard or something? ?
If I would fit I would! Bathroom is no zone for the kids. They have their own!
Lay down preferably?. I like a bit of classical music on quietly in the background sometimes. Can’t eat snacks as I have to put the book down, demolish them all then start reading again?.

That’s a great idea!
I like either silence or soft music without words.
Walk
How do you not bump into stuff?
@Adam-Caleb By using my eyes on the road and focus the ears on the audiobook 😛 Technically not reading but w/e ^^ I did watch the entire Breaking Bad show while walking tho, wasnt that difficult :3
@John I seeeeee. I was equally confused and impressed. ?
Read? ?
On the weekends, I like to wake up, make coffee and then drink it while I read. My partner usually sleeps in so I get pure silence for at least 2 hours
Listen to music (jazz or classical), drink coffee, twirl my hair and bite my nails ??
I was wondering when someone would mention hair twirling! ha
It’s soooo soothing! But after couple of pages, I start to look like a troll ?
Read
I read by lamplight, just before bed. Bonus if the kids are quiet and sleeping in their room.
I like to eat while reading, most of the time comfort food, and when not eating, just sipping water or tea.
read
have a poo
What if it’s a 1000 page epic? That’s a big plop that.
Knitting or chrochet.
Now that is multitasking!
Drive
Play chess
Read.
Drive
read
Be alone or with someone who does not want to chat
Have a cup of tea (or a glass of wine if it’s evening and it isn’t too late and I’m not too tired)
My wife. Sex.?
Smooth. ha
@Adam-Caleb true story. one time she said” Hurry up sinfeld comes on in five minutes
@Michael I know a couple who read while having sex too. She does doggy while reading a magazine over the side of the bed and he reads a kindle on her back. No joke. That’s a book club I never want to join. ??

That actually sounds amazing. ?
Read mostly
In the nice weather I like to take a blanket and light snacks and go to the water front lay on my blanket read and listen to the waves.
Bliss
@Adam-Caleb Truly.
I work, delivering mail. And do maintenance on my fish tanks ( 4 saltwater and 1 freshwater)
Nibble on snacks or curl up on the couch with hot tea.
Garden, I could finish half a book putzing around in the yard. Chore’ing in general is more tolerable with an audiobook. Eat chocolate.
i need the t.v. to keep me company but i don’t need to watch it.
@Jesse I agree. I like the background noise.
Lay in bed in silence
Eat chocolate and, if it’s not a work night, drink gin ?
Read, lying on my bed with my cat curled up beside me.
Same, except for me its not a cat curled beside me, it’s a cat curled around my head grooming my hair haha
I wish mine would groom me too!
Gets very annoying when he starts on the face haha. Then he gets offended and acts like I’ve shamed his ancestors when I roll over to get away from him.
@Jasmine adorable.
Stand on the metro, and avoid moving bodies.
Add trying not to freeze fingers off while waiting for a bus that may or may not show up.
@Tara And they call it escapism!
@Ben the cold and snow here is actually good for getting into the atmosphere of the 2 books I am currently reading ? both are taking place in the freezing cold and snow! The Wolf in the Whale and Assassin’s Quest.
Snow does wonderful things for my imagination, but we hardly ever get any.
I play some ambient music like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdd9b47x67M&t=6455s
I like for my husband and kids to fuck off and leave me alone in precious precious silence ?
Underwater basket weaving with my feet while giving a puppet show to sharks with my hands and playing a kazoo or riding a unicycle while juggling chainsaws and swallowing swords obviously
I don’ really “do” anything. I sit in my chair and just read. No background music, no eating a snack, just reading
Read….lol jokes(not jokes)… Mostly I like quiet while I’m reading but I can drown any noise out if the book is good enough.. and I fall asleep reading every single night(single life..gotta love it).. on the weekends I love to read in the mornings with a coffee.. always makes the day better
On my pool deck with a cigar and a cold drink on a hot day, or during the winter in the basement in a chair with a footrest by the fireplace.
I just do the words while I read. I’m a simple guy.
Nothing.

Do? While reading? Is this possible?
Although, used to read when walking home from school. Amazing survival feat. Now the world stops until the book is closed.
Whack a pink Floyd vinyl on and slowly drift off
Drink tea
