I haven’t personally, but my mom had nightmares after reading The Stand a couple of years ago.

I’m much more likely to have my sleep effected by a movie or tv show than anything I read. They do effect my mood, though.

Went to bed with a migraine for 2 days after reading Small Sacrifices. I don’t do true crime stories anymore.

It happened to me after I read Tess… Though I didn’t like it as soon as I read it, it kept growing on me..

@Jesus That one effected me a lot emotionally. I didn’t dream about it, but felt very sad and depressed for days afterwards.

Lynne:

Are you a very empathetic person? If so, that’s why you were affected.

I think I just really related to the character of Tess and felt very sad when she died. It was as if she was a real person who I had known, and not just as character in a book.

I felt the same way about Frodo in The Lord of the Rings. Read that book 5 or 6 times, and it still makes me sad.

It’ s a good thing to be empatbetic. I am empathetic which is good. But at times, it can be a terrible drain on my soul.

My mood is affected because reading relaxes me.

Actually I don’t even wait till I’m done with the novel. Last month I was reading Northanger Abbey and took a nap and had a dream about the book. It was wonderful because I was having tea with Mr. Tilney, Eleanor and Catherine.

I also remember when I was reading Thomasina by Paul Gallico I fell asleep and had an amazing dream about Scotland.

I do! Quite often actually. Especially if I read right before going to sleep
