Depends on how they’re written. Most of the time I just find them really boring and annoying (especially if the on in the middle can’t pick), but I think I have read a few, where they were pretty well written (can’t think of any though)
Depends. I like how Cassandra Clare does them–if I care about all three characters I don’t mind them–but if one of them just irritates me, then it’s annoying
Yeah I don’t mind them if they’re done right which I know everyone has their own opinion and that’s good but I think love triangles should only be used at the beginning of a relationship between to two that r gonna last u throw in the third person to make it interesting or throw people off of knowing what’s gonna happen I hate when this person is supposedly not able to choose between two people because she loves them both so much, because honestly there has to be one you love more than the other so eventually they just gotta choose and not spend the whole series thinking they have two soul mates ? otherwise u could use an interesting love triangle where the girl is in a relationship with guy1 and she loves him till he messes up or starts acting different then shes still in a relationship with him but not so in love anymore and meets guy2 then and falls in love with him and ends up with him…
If you truly loved someone; there would be no confusion on who you wanted to choose
Unless like it’s a midsummer nights dream type of triangle; where a girl is forced to choose between her society’s wishes and her own wishes(which isn’t technically a triangle) or the two boys pining over one girl (which isn’t again really a triangle unless the girl pines over both) It really detracts from the story and it’s meaning
I only liked the TID one to an extent; but I still felt that this whole love triangle business should leave.
Not only because it portrays unhealthy images of love; books now only use it to cater to the masses to a large extent; and there are literally blurbs saying “she can’t choose between smoking Max and charming and hot Dave” like no; it should be about more impactful things than almost lustful romance
I like them, but only if they’re done right.
Hate them. Exept the infernal devises
same here 🙂
Exactly

Sometimes I like them for example in Shatter Me. But like in Throne of Glass it’s just so unnessary.
I haven’t read either of them. But if they’re just there because the author wants a love triangle, then just no….
I really recommend Shatter Me, beautiful writing and a nice love story. And a believable love triangle.
I will look it up and pick it up some day :3 (I do have more than 150 books on my to read list om Goodreads though….)
I know the feeling xD Maybe someday 😛
Yeah. It kind of gets bad when you have no idea what there even is in the pile 😛
Not a fan lol
Hate them for the most part.
Depends on the triangle
I think they are slightly over done.
They have to be done right *cough cough*splintered
Agreed!
OMG it’s so good. I just bought untamed but haven’t been able to read it. I already read moth in the mirror.
I was intrigued by the comments and Splintered has now been added to my TBR list!
It’s my favorite series this year
They are waaaaay overused but when done right I like them.
I never cared for love triangles until I read this series! These were hot and fun!
Like them if they are done right

I like them if I like the characters but love triangles do kind of seem to be becoming repetitive it seems like every YA novel has them now
I feel like almost every series has one now. Now, that makes me mad. But yeah, I would prefer a book without one

There was this thing I read
