, Re-reading, actually: The Codex Alera by Jim Butcher… I just found, and started, book 2, yesterday: Academ’s Fury, and yes, I’m loving it again!!

@Alexandria It’s meh…I am on Chapter 11. It isn’t poorly written…it is well written as a matter of fact…but it isn’t for me, but I HATE DNFing a book!

I just started Keep You safe by Rona Hallsal and I’m loving it. It was previously titled “Guilty Little Secrets”
A fatal grace – by Louise Penny, it’s a cozy read with a murder mystery all in one.
War Storm- I have enjoyed the series so much but this book is just not doing it for me. Does it get any better? It’s just super slow. I just want to finish it to end the series. I’m Hoping it picks up.

@Deana this is my first but I loved the series on tv. So I decided to read the book! I’m almost 30% through it.
I want to like Reading Lolita in Tehran. I heard it’s a powerful memoir and should be read but I’m just not feeling it. I’m a mood reader and I think this isn’t the book for my current mood. I’m going to put it away and try another time.
What other kind of readers are there?
I just meant that sometimes I’m just not in the mood to read and I’m thinking this may be one of those times.

@Hannah it was very odd. I like Fairytales and Fantasy but this one was a huge nope for me too!
I think we’re like the only people who dislike it lol! I read an arc of it so I don’t know if some things changed in the final novel.
I almost bought the entire trilogy when I bought the first book. I am so glad I didn’t. Not a thing in that book makes me want to continue the series. And I believe you’re right; every review I read said it was phenomenal? We may be the only two that didn’t care for it! ?
Lol. I hear that the second book is much better but I’m still hesitant.
