Okay let’s talk. Do you like twilight or not? Personally I do because it played a big part in rekindling my love for reading. What about you guys?

Adore it. It did so much for me as a young girl, it will always be special to me.
Yes! Read the series about three or four times!
Oh also have you ever read anything like twilight? I’d be interested in checking it out! ?
@Virginia some people compare that Bella Forrest series to it.
One of my favorites!
I’ll always have love for twilight because it brought out my love for reading. I was obsessed with it for a while, reread it like 10 times. I also wrote a fanfiction once and read them too.
BUT after reading a ton of books after, I realized just how terrible it really was. Edward and Bella are horrible and I hate them as characters. Bella is monotone and has no real redeeming qualities and Edward is a possessive, permantly sad, drama queen.
@Michelle so true yet it holds such a place in my heart ?
I always hoped she’d write something about the tribe. Their story was so much more intriguing than the rest of it.
She is. Shes writing a 3 book arc about Jacob and renesme
Ughhh. Nooooo. I hate that entire thing. It’s super creepy no matter how many times it’s pointed out that they have no romantic feelings for the child. It’s just super weird. I was thinking more along the lines of the begining of the Wolves, the tribe, their history.
@Kaycee could I have more info on this?
@Virginia She did an interview on the 27th of october. She plans to finish Midnight Sun, and release it. And she announced a 3 arc series for Jacob and Renesme’s story. She said it was a little awkward being so many years later but she has really felt the love from the fans and decided it was time to get back into it. I am sure you can find the interview on youtube! 🙂
AHHHH THANK YOU!
@Kaycee as in just 3 days ago she did the interview?
@Jennifer I cant find anything on it ?
@Jennifer yes
Let me look
Here it is ladies !!!
@Kaycee thank you! I should have known it was one of Christines videos ?
Might sound stupid. What’s an arc?
@Virginia Its a version of the book that is pre-released, pre-published. So like its not completely finished or leaves room for changes in the future before hard release.
It gives the readers a chance to let her know what they think of it and what changes could be made, etc…
I am sure she is doing this because she knows movies are going to be made.
100% adore it. I know its problematic and not the best written but I will ALWAYS adore them the way my 14 year old self did :’)
Sameeeee
Right? Like why would I actively hate on something that made me so happy ??♀️
I hated it.
That’s okay too! ?
I adored it and still do. ??♀️
Love it!
Loooove twilight!!!
I liked it but i have to admit it is cringey at times. Like i literally laughed at the sparkling and that before people started making fun of it.
@Nikki the sparkling is the worst
Yes!
Twilight was one of the first books I probably read and I’ll always love it x
No. I hated it. Couldn’t even finish the first book. Tried the movie and I hated it even more.
Twilight is what began my love for reading ☺️❤️
Yes, I loved it so much when I was younger!! It still has a special place in my heart ? because I have good memories of it. It was one of the few series I was really into! I don’t know how much I’d like it if I read it again now though, I’m a bit scared to ruin it for myself haha
I enjoyed the books. The first movie was a disaster.
I liked the series! I decided to read after I watched the first movie because I was wanting more of the story. I have to say books are better than the movie.
I loved it when I first read it in high school as an adult and after the movies not entirely but it is still my guilty read when I need an easy read
Twilight honestly got me through the biggest grieving time of my life. I was a teenager and just saw my best friend die and twilight kept me so distracted with how good I thought it was. I still play the movies whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed.
I don’t like it because of how terrible relationship between Edward and Bella is. However, I think that there is potential for a spin-off about something like Carlisle’s early years as a vampire.
@Virginia I loved every second of reading and rereading and watching the franchise.
I had some mixed emotions about it when I first read it in high school because vampires do not sparkle….that bothered me for a bit, but I gave it another chance by reading it again and loved it. It kept me engaged and I felt I could relate to Bella in little ways. Plus I thought some of the characters were interesting, (Alice & Jasper) it was different but overall I thought it was a good story. I finished reading it again today in my backyard underneath a tree on a beautiful day. I’m not ashamed to admit that it’s one of my favorite books. ? And I have a thing for Edward… ?
YUP!!!
Same!!!! ❤️
I enjoyed the first couple as I read them. By the end I was pretty done with the story. I don’t think I remember much about the books (the scenes from the movies have replaced everything in my brain) but I’d probably never take the time to re-read them. I actually prefer vampires more on the scary side.
Like. Not my usual choice but I have read them (more than once) none the less.
I love Twilight. Hate the movies though.
Yep. People hate on Meyers’s writing style but I enjoy it. I also love the rainy, mystical atmosphere about it.
I loved book 1-3 (I bawled through New Moon) but I hated Breaking Dawn.
The pages where the months go by….. kills….meeee
Me too.
I loved it! The movies were a joke. So much so that I was embarrassed for a while to admit I love the books.
Same for me. I have a special place for it as I fell in love with reading due to that series
Nope. Not anymore. I gave them to my 12 year old. She didn’t like them either
There was so much hype over it and so many fans. So I read it without knowing anything else about it and was immensely let down. Just a run-of-the-mill romance novel. So disappointed but only because I was expecting so much more than that.
It’s no great literary work, but I was thoroughly entertained when I read them. Twilight only gets a lot of hate now because of how popular it got. People love to hate on successful things.
And it cracks me up when I see writers trashing the saga as “bad books.” Those books entertained and delighted MILLIONS—and at the end of the day, that’s what matters in a book.
I actually loved the books. I enjoyed the movies but the books were really detailed and well written. I actually love Stephanie Meyer’s other books too. The Host is one of my top favorite books of all time and I really like her new book, The Chemist. I read it this summer and it was fantastic. I love how her books make you think about things you have never thought of before. They really draw me right in!
I like the books but not the movies lol
Love the books, read them multiple times. The movies however were a miss for me
Twilight is my everything.
I liked them like I like working out. It sucks, but once you’re doing it, it’s okay.
Science fiction… not my thing :3
Yes I love the books! First big fantasy/young adult story I ever got into (yikes, haven’t read Harry Potter yet but working on it) and I will always love it for being a sort of gateway into me being a reader. I personally also really like Meyer as an author so I will read whatever she puts out. People can hate all they want, but everyone has different reasons for loving a book or series.
Same here!!!
