Divergent. You don’t think it’ll happen at all, as it’s usually impossible with the style of writing

I started reading that one but got turns off by the vulgarity , my dad laughed at me, I’d pick it up again if I had a reason. I saw the movie.

1
Cari

@Atlanta, I loved the movie, too. And Scorsese changed the ending and boom, another surprise. I’d actually like to read and watch again.

1
Cari

@Atlanta, good idea. I’ll have to find my copy of it.

1
Carla

I picked that one up at the library last week. It’s next TBR when I finish Identical (Turow), hopefully this week.

1
Cari

@Carla, I hope you like it. I found it to be a really great read.

Really? 1984 wasn’t a surprise to me. Maybe that’s because I read a lot of dystopian literature.

Was my first actually, maybe because of that

1
Atlanta

@Sondos what surprised you about the end?

0

Didn’t believe that Winston will love BB at the end after what he experienced with the thought police, I thought he will be more revolutionary or something
