I love Susan Kay Penman’s novels about medieval England. Also the Brother Cadfael mysteries. Any of Edward Rutherford’s novels, especially “Sarum”.

If you liked Pride and Prejudice try Georgette Heyer’s Regency novels: The Grand Sophy is a good one to start with. They are romantic and a lot of fun.
