Remaining aware of my physical space, my body, my breath… it’s possible to do while reading but also cuts into the enjoyment some. Coming back to the “real world” every time I turn a page or take a sip of water is good mindfulness, but not very fun reading.
Absolutely NOT!. I become totally immersed in whatever i am reading. I need to mentally visualise where the characters are, who they, what they look like, sound like.. i need to be there almost like a ln obsessed bystander taking in every detail
Not for me
To me, the entire point of reading is to to escape myself and the troubles of this world, and to lose myself in the lives of the characters.
I think it is 100% possible to be mindful while reading. You just have to slow down and really commit to what you are currently doing! ?
I’m certainly mindful of what I’m reading and aware of nothing else.
Easier now that the children are grown.
If you’re not mindful when reading, you won’t absorb much.

Depends on the person, depends on what you’re trying to be mindful about.
I can walk down Times Square with a book in front of my face and not walk into anyone, because my peripheral vision is ridiculously good.
(Due to constantly walking with a book in my face lmao!).
But if you try to maintain a conversation with me while reading, hell no.

If I’m really engrossed in a book, it’s got me 100%. If I’m not, I’m mindful of what’s going on around me.
No way! I get lost in my books
