I love reading retellings of classic stories, myths, legends, etc. with an LGBT twist. Any suggestions on LGBT retellings? :)

Song of Achilles, Is my favorite book of 2019 (for now)
I loved Song of Achilles! Her other book, Circe, is really good too 🙂
@Sophie I got it recently. I’m so excited. I believe I’m going to neglect my other tasks ?
Wish me luck.
I LOVED this book. I criiiiied. Circe is really good but its a slow paced read, it won’t break your heart like SOA.
I second this! The Song of Achilles is probably my favorite book of all time. Circe is still really good too ?
@Debbie Good luck! I can’t wait to hear how you like it 🙂

Thank you!!
Have you read The Merry Spinster by Daniel Mallory Ortberg? It’s got a horror tone, but may hit the right buttons for you.
I just saw this in the library — it looks amazing!

Love in the Time of Global Warming by Francesca Lia Block
I haven’t read it but I saw it on Bookbub the other day apparently “Cinder” is one I think at least from what I read
Cinder/The Lunar Chronicles are really good retellings….but don’t really have LGBT characters
Sorry wasn’t clear lol it’s not the ones from the lunar chronicles I’m looking for the author now this one
Ok this one is CINDERS by Cara Malone
And it’s actually free on bookbub today! It’s a retelling of Cinderella with a firefighter as the main character and the description says she catches the eye of her crush marigold ?

“Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe.” Not sure if it’s LGBT but from what I’ve heard it involves that kind of relationship at some point.
Blanca & Roja is one of my faves, and all of the Wayward Children books have amazing queer reps (they’re not YA though).
“Great”
