I’d have to go for Conan The Barbarian. You could take a still from almost anywhere in that movie and it would be an epic picture. Red Sonja?! Ah, I was in childhood awe of Brigitte Nielsen in that movie. A remake would be good!
Solomon Kane, Excalibur, the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, Brother Bear, Pan’s Labyrinth, the first Narnia movie, and, of course, Lord of the Rings.
Stardust! (Which is also my favourite film altogether)
I loved the LotR films, too. I also enjoyed the Narnia Chronicles, which was terrific as I’ve wanted to like the books, but found them kind of preachy and childish – I liked what the films did.
There is only one fantasy film, which all others must be judged by, ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail.’ Don’t claim it’s not fantasy-it has a killer rabbit with a vicious streak a mile wide:
I found it on amazon or something and my 11 year old thought I was lame, but I put it on for nostalgia and she got bored with it. She doesn’t recognize quality yet. Wolf was so marginalized, poor thing.
Mine…
Amazing! Peck-peck-peck-peck!
@Adam-Caleb introduced my son to it the other week for the first time. Told him he was watching the greatest film ever made ?
Good! The sooner he realises this the better.
Exactly!
constantly tell my kids “out of the way peck”
Harry Potter
Lord of the rings
LEGEND
I luuuuuuurve legend! “Black as midnight, black as pitch, blacker than the foulest witch”.?♀️
Dragonheart and Pan’s Labyrinth
DeathStalker
Oh, I don’t know this one!
It’s a sword and sorcery film from the 80s. It’s actually really bad, but I still enjoy it.
@Nope As soon as you said it was bad I knew I needed to see it.
Bad is an understatement to be honest..lol
@Nope Now I just want the bluray ?
FYI, it has a sequel..so,
Your welcome!!!…lol
Now I need to check this out!
Or Excalibur
Conan or Red Sonja?
Oooo yes! I almost forgotten about the Conan movies. I so wish for an updated version of red Sonja.
@Adam-Caleb Conan the Barbarian

So many good movies to choose from but here are some of my favorites that I am up to rewatch again and again
The Dark Crystal, Harry Potter, Labyrinth, Lord of the Rings, Corpse Bride
LOTR
The Golden Compass (I know…)
The Dark Crystal
Harry Potter (of course!)
Does Nightmare Before Christmas count? Or Disney movies like Brave?
Of course! Ha
Ladyhawke, Dragon Slayer
Old school is the only school!
@Lloyd I was like how had no one said Lady Hawk?!
Stardust! (Which is also my favourite film altogether)

Bring forth the Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch.
10th kingdom
@Samantha you have been upgraded to my favorite person for the day! Love that movie
I thought I was the only person to see that one, great mini series
Me too! I used to own it, and I miss it. I loved Wolf!
I found it on amazon or something and my 11 year old thought I was lame, but I put it on for nostalgia and she got bored with it. She doesn’t recognize quality yet. Wolf was so marginalized, poor thing.
Willow
It’s not my favorite but I’m fond of “ The Never ending story”
Frozen 😀
Dammit… Live Action: The Fellowship of the Ring. Animated: How to Train Your Dragon 2/Spirited Away.
Lord of the Rings. Theres no competition.
Guardians of the Galaxy
and II https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B67TuUwghqE
The Princess Bride!! That no one has mentioned it yet is:
that’s the title i was looking for! i was thinking, “no princess bride?”
Dragonheart, labyrinth, dark crystal, mirror mask, the never ending story… All of ’em.
I could never take to Mirrormask.
It wasn’t the best plot but I loved the puppets & creations. Burtonesque & a lil steampunk. It was more just a ‘pretty to watch’ experience for me.
I am with @Neil… The Princess Bride for the win!
Debbie does Dallas
Shouldn’t that be Debbie does Hobbiton ??
If there was a character named “the Shire”, we could make something work
The Goonies if this counts loved it
Fav. movie, other than Gladiator.
Of course it counts! Hey you guuuuuys!
Willow named my youngest after the baby.
Oh wow, you named your youngest Elora Danan? That’s amazing!
Our eldest is Arwen so double fantasy points ?
I agree with Ladyhawke (see it if you haven’t!), Conan; also Princess Bride and LOTR.
