What’s your favourite book to movie?
Lord of the Rings Trilogy, hands down.
A lot, but my newest one is Everything, everything
Stand By Me
Ruby Red trilogy. Harry Potter. The Hunger Games. Now is Good. Nicholas Sparks adaptions. Twilight. Maze Runner. Carry Slee (Dutch author) adaptions. Achtste Groepers Huilen Niet (Dutch book adaption). Everything Everything. The 5th Wave. Pride and Prejudice (Mini series with Collin Firth). Jane Eyre. Mansfield Park. Persuasion. Sense and Sensibility. And many others
That’s a lot! 🙂
I know. I love book to movie adaptions. I know they change stuff and I can bitch about it. But I do love them😅. (Not all. I hate Miss Peregrine’s movie adaption)
But in the maze runner series they changed so much,it was still good tho
Tfios,me before you,twilight
I also enjoyed Twilight!
Not a big fan of book to movie adaptations but Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil is pretty darn good
Harry potter, vampire academy and nicholas sparks
Harry Potter. I love the movies as well as the books.
Harry Potter, and Nicholas Sparks’ “The Longest Ride”
Me before you
I love the book so much. My older sister watched the movie and I also want to watch it. She says I’d love it.
Everything Everything. I believe.
The Hobbit is my favorite.
personally while I love the Hobbit the book, I thought it was a terrible translation to the big screen, so much added that didn’t occur in the book, changing the plot somewhat. I was very disappointed.
There was a lot added unnecessarily BUT I think the majority of the story was there and it was detailed. I loved it.
David, they didn’t just change the plot “somewhat.” They changed it a lot. Azog is supposed to be very much dead according to the appendices in The Lord of the Rings. I love the movies anyway.
fault in our star
I like that book too.
both are great!
Me before You, The Longest Ride, The Kite Runner <3
perks of being s wallflower
Perks of being a wallflower
Catching Fire. Francis Lawrence did that book so proud with what Gary Ross gave him from the Hunger Games movie.
Charlie and the chocolate factory
The da Vinci code
Holes and The Hunger Games
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon, The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer, and The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks.
I didn’t know Speak was made into a movie. That’s a really good book!
@Keirston Yes, the book is really good! The movie is really good too. They changed a few things from the book but overall it was done well.
I will have to look for it sometime. Glad you shared that or I would have never known!
The Time Traveler’s Wife
Oooh that’s a good one
The Return Of The King
The mist. first time i can say that the movie was better than the book even stephen king said it
The Harry Potter series.
Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, Maze Runner
IT 2017 (Stephen King)
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Book & Movie . Also same for The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.
The book thief 💕
None of them. I hate all of the adaptations lol

I’ll admit, a few are okay lol
Like how the Grinch stole Christmas lol
War of the worlds
The Da Vinci Code
Game of Thrones xx
The Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings and The Book Thief
Ice Station Zebra
Pride and prejudice
I think the Hunger Games (all of the books/movies). Yes, they changed a few things, but that’s always going to happen
I love some that are different from the books but others are not as interesting.
Yes, I agree with that. Another good one is The Martian, but I did not read that book. Just told it was as good, if not better than the book
I know they weren’t the most accurate, but I love the Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit (which is extremely inaccurate). I also really enjoy The Martian.
I loved The Martian, book and movie
Silver linings playbook. One of the best book to movie adaptations I’ve seen
The shadow hunter
The Book Thief, The Hobbit, The Fault in our Stars and If I Stay❤️
The book thief, the hobbit, Lord of the rings
me before you
Yeah, I heard it’s the same as the book. I’m yet to watch the movie.
It’s very close to the book. One of the best adaptations I’ve ever seen. Lead actress was perfect in the part IMO.
The 5th wave
The Book Thief 💛
Where can I find the movie?
Howl’s moving castle!
shake hands with the devil
Jungle Boy, Rudyard Kipling
bridge to therabithia
The Princess Bride. I read it to my son when he was little, and I remember it being almost word for word like the book. Plus, Rob Reiner nailed it.
I agree! The few changes that Reiner made were definitely great (like the Pits of Despair being originally the Zoo of Death, or the shrieking eels being sharks).
The book thief
Angela’s Ashes and Gone With the Wind
To Kill a Mockingbird
Harry Potter series. <3
Harry Potter 😍😍😍
Charlottes Webb, The Book Thief, The Chronicles of Narnia, Little Women (the one with Winona Ryder)
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
It, Titus Andronicus (film: Titus), and Clockwork Orange.
Clockwork orange, book was very good. Not seen the movie.
Behind the Eclipse

Totally agree with you there, as that was the movie that came to mind when I first read the post.

The hunger games, the fault in our stars and Harry Potter

The Lord of the Rings and Interview With the Vampire
I thought Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was pretty good 😊
the fault in our stars, the hunger games, harry potter
oh and soul surfer
Harry Potter and Harry Potter only, other books made into movies (e.g. Hunger games, divergent) ended up being complete and utter catastrope (for me).
the GODFATHER by Mario Puzo
Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
Where Eagles Dare
