It varies a lot. In the last week I’ve read about 500 pages. When we lost power for nearly 4 days after a hurricane, I read 1100 pages. It showed me how time/life consuming and distracting internet and television can be for me.
I usually read 3-4 “average size” books per week so…. Whatever that works out to per day I guess. I don’t really pay much attention to number of pages I read from one day to the next, because the size of the page can change quite a lot depending on the book. My minimum is 10% of whatever book I’m currently reading. Which usually ends up as 50%+ and staying up way past my bedtime .
My schedule always changes. I read when I have the time and my eyes aren’t tired. Sometimes only a few pages before I fall asleep; other times 100+ pages on a more relaxing day!
I’m a slow reader with two kids and a writer with sleep apnea. I get excited if I hit the 20 + day a mark when I read. Oh, and my 8 year old is autistic. So…yeah. I’m usually reading at doctor appointments or when I’m in the truck between appointments and errands. Other times, right now, sleeping wins out until I get my CPAP machine.
I personally binge read. Sometimes I won’t read from a book for a few days, or several. Then I’ll have a few days where I read through 100+ pages and finish my current book.
I have been a voracious reader since I was 4 years old. My entire family reads constantly. I took speed reading classes as an elementary student, but truthfully, the more you read, the faster you read.
Reading is a distraction for me. If I’m reading, I’m 100% absorbed. Someone can talk to me and I don’t even hear them. So, I’m not sure how to overcome outside distractions…reading is all-consuming for me.
You know what? I couldn’t give a fuck how many pages I read per day. Since when did reading become a competitive sport? I read when and where I can. For pleasure. Not to set targets. I left that crap behind at school.
IF I do any form of reading competition – virtually never – it is always the same way I run a race: I don’t give a rat’s behind what you do, I just want to do better than I did myself the last time I did this. 😀
AMEN to that Caroline! I really couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m sick of these posts about how many pages you read!! so you read 500 pages an hour GOOD for you!! 10 pages in 4 hours who cares! I read when I can, for pleasure, I don’t count pages I’ve read and I don’t know how many books I’ve read this YEAR! ENOUGH! :/
Some people read slowly, some more quickly. It isn’t about the speed with which one reads, but more so the pleasure one receives from reading. I read incredibly fast and that doesn’t change based on what I’m reading, however, my style of reading varies greatly depending on what is actually being read. At the end of the day, reading should be enjoyable – a passion – and however that manifests itself is different, yet equal, in everyone.

At seventy-five, I’ve read a lot of books, and created an extensive home library. Never once have I considered logging the number of daily pages I read, setting goals, or adhering to a scheduled deadline. Reading is my passion. Strictly for pleasure, and my ongoing lifelong education.
About 100 is my usual
20 to 40 is my average
50-100
At least. In several books (living room, bathroom, bedroom)
If I’m lucky. I love reading but don’t do it very often ever since graduating high school.
I wish 🙁
A whole book if I’m motivated ???♀️
i read 1-2 hours a day during regular work days. on days off, i sometimes get done more. i go through about 1-2 books a week.
When I’m reading I read around 70.
I read anywhere from 2-400 in a day. ? just depends on the day

Some days none at all. I just read when I want x
Depends on the book, if it got me hooked then whole book it is.
Depends on the day. If it’s a nrml day, most probably 40-100
Most days for the past 40+ years I’ve read more than 300 pages a day.
Depends on the day I can read 300 pages a day.
50-200 Depends on the book and how into it I am.

Depends on the book! Sometimes 150+ but on average 50-75
100+
Depends on the day. Sometimes if I’m lucky I can get at least 50.
My max is 300 pages. My usual is about 50-70 xx
Depends on the book, If it grabs me about 200+ pages a day, but normally about 80 pages a day.
I dont work so I have alot of free time, I can read a 200+ book in a day..I have also read 1 and 2 ebooks in a day, depends on what I am doing.
So jealous!
20 at least, yes, that’s what I can get done during my breaks at work. once home it’s about another 30 or 50
I shoot for 50. 20 is the bare minimum!
I don’t always read but when I do… I finish three meal course of books.
more than 20. 100 i guess is the maximum number of pages I’ve read when I have no work to do

I read more than that
sometimes more, sometimes less just depends what i have going on
Nope … More than 200 on an average.
Closer to 30-40 actually.
Yeah
20-25 just on my lunch break. I probably read another 50-75 when I get home. I have no life lol!
Yes, but from two different books…
Depends on how long the chapters are
I always aim for 100 a day
me too
At least
My schedule always changes. I read when I have the time and my eyes aren’t tired. Sometimes only a few pages before I fall asleep; other times 100+ pages on a more relaxing day!
20-40
I read more than 70 pages a day!
Of course I do, I have no life.
I usually read less. I have trouble concentrating ?
I listen to about 1/3-1/2 of an audiobook each day and read prob 50-100 pages.
I read waayyyy more than 20 pages a day lol! I usually read for about four hours after the kids go to bed before I go to bed.
Depending on the day, least I read is 50. Some days I read a whole book, again depending on the day (and the book).
100 to 150 sometimes 200 when I am on break, otherwise I’m lucky to get to 50!
Way more!
Yeah right !? you’re funny.
I aim for 100+ but some books of course move faster than others and sometimes my 4 mo old has other plans for my day ?
Getting there…
Depends on the book…
How did you come up with this number??
I read more then that
I read more than 20 pages
If I am not working, I may read an entire book in a day.
Depends on my day, sometimes I can inhale half a book, other times I’m lucky to read a couple of pages.
Depends on the day. Sometimes I’ll read 100 pages a day, sometimes I’ll go days without reading at all.
Lol maybe cut the “day” down to like “20 minutes”. 20 pages in 20 minutes, sometimes less, depending on how well my day is going.
More ? once i start i have to make myself stop
I up to 3 hours a day
I read two 300+ page books in the last six hours… But I have a self discipline problem
Way more than that..try to read about 200 if I have the time..
Have never really counted but at least at a time
Sure!
At least that much
More. Usually finish one book in a day at the least.
Not lately
I average a book a day, which is a little more than 20 pages
Depends on the book i just finished a book with 500 pages in in 6 hours
nope ….. the whole 400 pages in one day
6 hours one book thats the fastest record for me and really depends on the book 🙂
Oh! I appreciate you.
A whole book is just 2 hours for me…
I’m a slow reader with two kids and a writer with sleep apnea. I get excited if I hit the 20 + day a mark when I read. Oh, and my 8 year old is autistic. So…yeah. More…Reading is also an addiction!
500-750 per day.
At least.
Whenever possible.
I personally binge read. Sometimes I won’t read from a book for a few days, or several. Then I’ll have a few days where I read through 100+ pages and finish my current book.
Not every day though.
Not really. I read the most on weekends. On weekdays i try to read after dinner but helplessly fall asleep after a few pages ?
Usually at least 50.
One book
as many as i can
20 page! thats 2 mins worth. I get through many more than that. If Lucy dog lets me, of course!
Try to do 50 pages a day
I try to read 50-100
I’m halfway through my 5th book since Monday. I easily ready 400+ pages a day.
How you read very fast
I have been a voracious reader since I was 4 years old. My entire family reads constantly. I took speed reading classes as an elementary student, but truthfully, the more you read, the faster you read.

200 for me
2-200 pages. I seem to read the most on Saturday and Sunday

I usually read an average of 400 pages a day. I don’t sleep.
