Depends on the content, and then the complexity of the writing style. I read an average modern novel at around 2 pages a minute. Shakespeare at about half that. So 7-12hours of straight uninterrupted reading, give or take.
@Basma , I read 30 minutes before I fall asleep each night & I’m a slow reader now due to being diagnosed with Early-on set Alzheimers at the age of 49 years old. ??
@Kim I’m saddened to hear you are in early onset Alzheimer’s. My father and grandmother both were diagnosed with it. Chances are I may be also. I pray you read your heart out and enjoy every moment possible! Thank you for sharing that with us. What kind of books do you enjoy?
It’s like an endless day of reading the same book over and over again. That’s what i personally felt while reading game of thrones. Haha but i cant stop myself from reading
Depends on the pacing. If I’m really into it and it’s not something I have to stop and process I can usually get through in a couple days. If it’s more hefty like game of thrones, wheel of time, or some Anne rice, it’ll take longer
It depends on a book. Now Im reading a real masterpiece. The book has 842 pages. If I lived alone and didnt have kids I would read it within a day. ))) In my youth I was reading books within a day or two.
Depends on the book and my time, but usually 4-5 days. A couple hundred pages a day.
You are kidding
@Basma, no, I am not 🙂
I read max 50 pages a day
@Basma, I read when my grandkids go to bed at 7 until I go to bed at 10. Three hours a night, about a couple hundred pages a night.
Couple hundred how
@Basma, three hours is quite a while while reading. The pages add up quickly.
I read 25 p a day
Just depends on my day. Traveled today and read a 450 page book, and I could have read more. A busy day at home- I am lucky to get any reading in.

3 days approx
6-8 weeks
How
@Basma , I read 30 minutes before I fall asleep each night & I’m a slow reader now due to being diagnosed with Early-on set Alzheimers at the age of 49 years old. ??
Hope u get well soon
@Basma, thank you for understanding. I love reading so much that I will continue to read until I can’t understand one word.
@Kim I’m saddened to hear you are in early onset Alzheimer’s. My father and grandmother both were diagnosed with it. Chances are I may be also. I pray you read your heart out and enjoy every moment possible! Thank you for sharing that with us. What kind of books do you enjoy?
@Linda , I read mystery/thrillers & suspenseful novel. What do you like to read?
@Kim I enjoy mysteries, YA, sci-fi, historical fiction, and fantasy
12 days
I take longer times
About two days, maybe three if there are a lot of interruptions.
No way
@Basma I read each of the Harry Potter books in two days apiece. To me reading a book is like watching a movie in my mind. Time doesn’t exist.
3-4 days
How many hours
2-3 weeks for me!
3-4 days
Depends on who wrote it
depends on the book
Couple weeks
A month
It depends on whether or not those 950 have captured me.
It depends on the subject matter. If it’s about insurance, I’ll fall asleep?
A week
Depends on how interested in book I am
No clue – don’t care
A week, maybe two. Three at most
I am a fairly slow reader, and it depends on the how engrossing the book is and how busy I am at the time. But my guess would be 4-5 weeks.
3 days
Depends on how gripping they are!!
At least a week
1 and a half day?
Depends how interesting book is
same
However long it takes.
A couple of days
Could be a week, maybe a year, could be never.
9-10 hours
9-10ish hours of (uninterrupted) reading. So anywhere from a day to 3 weeks. On average.
It’s like an endless day of reading the same book over and over again. That’s what i personally felt while reading game of thrones. Haha but i cant stop myself from reading
It honestly depends on how into the book I get. So I’d say anywhere between 3 days to a week
It depends on how interested I am in the book.
Same here! If I’m not really into the book it can take FOREVER.
Fiction or non fiction
I expect I’ll finish Kingdom of Ash (a little over 900 pages, I think) in less than two days. Under normal circumstances, probably closer to five days
Depends on the author and how detailed the research is
Or there may be a lot of dialogue which is usually faster to read.
Probably 3 or 4 days
More then one month
About 16 hours, so with what I can squeeze in a day, 2 weeks or less.
I wish I could read more than an hour or two a day. I used to have the time to read that length in 2 days.
Depends on the book. But normal 24 hours.
Probably around 30 hours. How many weeks it takes will depend on how often I feel like reading like putting a reading session in.
About a week.
A week to ten days generally.
Months. ☹
3 days without doing anything but reading otherwise one week for me if i add my schooling work etc
Depends on the book , sometimes I can read past that if it grabs me
I read Harry Potter and the deathly hallows within 3 days. So if the book is good I need 4 – 5 days in my holidays.
Forever unless it’s a really good book
A lifetime
Two days and
A month
Month I would say…ish
If I can read the language and the content is interesting, possibly a week in my daily schedule.
I would say a few weeks depending, my partner about 2hrs.
It depends. Why is this relevant?
If it’s great one
Anywhere from 5 days to 10 days x
Like a month… I read fast but I have a full time job and my weekends are sometimes busy
3-4 days.
2 days if you just eat, sleep nominal and other nature calls. (Maybe a weekend)
2 months
A week
2 weeks
950 times the time I take to read a single page
For me 1 and half day..
2 months… lol
About a week
5 days
Years.
Probably a couple weeks if I read every day and really enjoy it. But if I’m not really into it, months lol.
A day
I used to be able to read that in like 2-5 days. But now with my toddler, it’ll take me a month or so just to finish a 300 page book. XP
If it’s something I’m super excited about (like KoA) then a day! Otherwise probably 2 or maybe 3. I often finish a normal size 400 page book in a day
Probably a week
A day, maybe 2 if it’s particularly dense.
Who knows? I NEVER time myself!
A couple of days if you have absolutely nothing else to do… Otherwise, it could take almost 2 weeks
depends on the story honestly and the demands of the day. I’ve read huge books in a day. Other times it takes longer.
Month
Depends on the book. ?
And my available time. If it is in English a lot of time. In portuguese a week.
I read the Harry Potter books the 7 of them in a matter of days . And all of them together make a good couple of thousands of pages
Read the last 4 books of the Wheel of Time series in 2 weeks… So….
Mwhahaha
id say like three sessions if its a good book
2 days
3 days if the book is interesting
All depends on how much time I can read. Some weeks I can knock out a book or more a week, other times I go weeks without reading one chapter.
A couple of weeks ?.
2 1/2 -3 days depending on what else I have going on.
Depends on how good the book is.
Currently on page 630 of 950 pages
if the book is interesting, maybe a week and a half
Depends on your reading type and speed and mood 🙂
2 wks
About 2 weeks.
4 days if its good
One second
Depends …. I’m usually reading 3 books at once. 3-4 weeks
Depends on the pacing. If I’m really into it and it’s not something I have to stop and process I can usually get through in a couple days. If it’s more hefty like game of thrones, wheel of time, or some Anne rice, it’ll take longer
Just read one in three days. Lol ?
The rest of my frigging life.
I’m guessing a week
Probably about a week , depending on different variables lol.
Depends on how much time i have to read and my mood, also if the book keeps my interest
The questions are: how good is it and is it something I actually wanted to read.
A few months I have 4 kids
That’s my problem! I have 5.
It’s a superhuman feat that either of you can finish the book at all.
It depends on the story, too ..
If it’s a really good book ,3 or 4 days
Depends, how much I like it. A good one would take 3 days, and not so good over a week ?
It depends on the book…if I like it, 5-6 hs….if not…5 days
Depends
I read 11/22/63 in 5 days and I think it was 950 pages
About 10-12 hours if it’s fiction.
About 3 or 4 days
depends how interesting the books is and what else I need to do.
Depends on the subject matter,
Years. I’m a slow reader.
Less than a week, 3 days if there’s lots of excitement.
I’ll tell you when I retire
Depends on how good the book is
10-12 days
2 days
A while
If I don’t have to work about a day and a half
Nonfiction? English or Russian? Tiny print?
?
2 weeks ish
16 hours
If it’s interesting probably all day.
5 years. How am I supposed to know? I can’t predict the future.
2 weeks. And I will be exhausted afterwards lol.
two to three days if i have no work. if. ?
A couple of weeks, give or take a week.
I read slowly, and probably would do 75 pages a day, so around 13 days/hours.
19 hours so around 6 days.
It depends on a book. Now Im reading a real masterpiece. The book has 842 pages. If I lived alone and didnt have kids I would read it within a day. ))) In my youth I was reading books within a day or two.
