Hell yes! I feel like Hercule Poirot
I LOVE Hercule. And, yes. Makes me feel like a detective. The little grey cells must observe the guests.
I do! I feel luxurious
Especially with a cup of tea.
Yes! When I go to my lodge in the mountains, I know all the common areas to read in.
That sounds cozy.
@Kathy totally but bad idea to read The Shining.
Wearing a fedora? Reading F. Scott Fitzgerald, with Paul Whiteman on the Victrola, flappers stolling through the lobby, their Maxwell parked in front.
Of course. Many times I don’t have a room. Just champagne taste.
Are we separated at birth?
The San Juan Ritz has their own Brut Champagne. Delicious.
@Kathy yes we were!
I’ve done that in a Four Seasons before and a server came by and offered a pot of tea and some shortbread biscuits. I picked Earl Grey.
I take a book everywhere. But I can’t really afford posh hotels
You don’t have to be a registered guest. Dress up and look as if you are.
Isn’t that what the lobby is for?The Fairmont in Toronto has a charming library,reading room in the lobby area!
If i don’t have a book in hand then comic or manga THEN a Newspaper
Great cover for prostitution too
I read wherever I feel comfortablw.
