I’ve read just about every possible genre over the course of my life. And there are novels that tackle far more serious concepts than some nonfiction books 😀
Notice my careful wording. I didn’t dismiss an entire category of books 😀
To give an example: Emily Bleeker’s upcoming book The Waiting Room is a serious discussion of issues surrounding depression in females. Justin Halpern’s Shit My Dad Says is… just a collection of weird/ funny things his dad says. Both are awesome in their own ways, but this is why it is difficult to say one entire genre is better than another. 🙂
I read alot of nonfiction right now im reading casey Watson and Cathy Glass they are both foster parents its amazing how they turn these children around
I’ll See You Again by Jackie Hance, Scared Selfless by Michelle Stevens. I also really enjoyed Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis and Gabourey Sidibe’s This is Just my Face. And so many more lol
I’m currently reading, “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind”, and when I finish it, I’ll read, “Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow”. After that, I’ll go back to novels for a bit! ?
Lab protocols (usually online or written in my own handwriting), scientific papers, grant proposals, textbooks… it’s the life of a graduate research assistant.
Almost anything. I’ve even been known to read the back of the cereal box. I mostly read magazines, lots of non-fiction, and blogs. That’s besides a steady diet of novels.
