Who would you love to have as a narrator for audiobooks? Mine would be Anthony Hopkins or Julie Andrews.

I listened to my first audiobook last week and the voice was awful , especially when she was trying to mimic a southern accent . I’m like “ we don’t even sound like that” ??
I listened to Asheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon as my first audio book. The dude sounded like he was going thru puberty and when he would do a females voice in mid orgasm I almost died ….. seriously had to pull over the car my husband and I were laughing so hard!!!!
OMG! That would pretty much ruin the book for me?
@Donna it put a damper on audio for me. Thank God I read Asheron multiple times before listening to it
I’m trying another one next week while I travel!
Without thinking, Morgan Freeman or James Earl Jones.
Yes! I was just thinking this.
Their voices simply command attention.
Following
Hugo Weaving
Jon Hamm, of course and perhaps also Mark Walberg – nice voices both
Ex-wife number two. I always loved her voice, like music.
Idris Elba or Jeremy Irons
If he were still alive, Carl Sagan
Morgan Freeman, Mike Rowe, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Julie Andrews, Reese Witherspoon, and Allison Janney would be some in my Top 10!
David Tennant
Orson Welles. Come to think of it, Welles would probably do some rewriting as he went along and improve the book.
Mike Rowe, Sam Elliott, James Earl Jones.
Sam Elliot would be fantastic
Of those who currently aren’t narrators I would say John Noble.
Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Julie Andrews.
John le Carre reading his own works. Lovely, rich voice.
Sean Connery
Liam Neeson.
Sam Elliott
Anthony Hopkins. X
Margaret Atwood
Benedict Cumberbatch or Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson will probably say f^*k every other word, lol ?
You mean like in his „Go the Fuck to sleep“? ?
Big fan!!!!
Yep! He cracks me up
Morgan Freeman ❤
I think it depends what they’re narrating.
Morgan Freeman!
Ian McKellen or Sam Elliott ?
Ian McKellen would be good.
Antonio Banderas, Sam Elliot
Alan Rickman or Warren Zevon, neither of which are going to happen. :'(
Monty Don narrating his book about his dog Nigel gets me to sleep many nights. He has a beautifully soothing voice.
James Earl Jones or Sean Connery
Tom Hiddleston and Benadict Cumberbatch
Tom Hiddleston has narrated one – High Rise by JG Ballard!
Morgan Freeman or someone British
Emma Thompson. Morgan Freeman is a close second.
Donald Sutherland. I swoon over his OJ commercials. William Fichnter has the smoothest voice…I watch America Top Gear just for him. ❤️ I know nothing about cars.
Colin Farrell. And he could read anything. The phone book, I don’t care. ???
Liam Neeson
He sure does..
It depends on the book, but some general standard bearers would be James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery, Julie Andrews, Helen Miren, Edward James Almos ?, and Colin Firth.
Morgan freeman
Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins
Sam Elliott or Jeremy Piven
Sean Connery!!
Colin Firth
Kathryn Kellgren is AMAZING. Julie Andrews doing her autobiography for nine hours was superlative. Judi Dench and Stephen Fry doing Winnie-the-Pooh was just the best ever. If you get the chance, YouTube Benedict Cumberbatch doing Ode to a Nightmare. **Swoon**
Jodie foster or scarlett johannson
jeremy irons, morgan freeman, james earl jones
Julie Andrews sounds good ^^
Bob Dylan
I would have said Alan Rickman if it was still possible. ?
YES!!!
I’m gonna get so much hate… Kristen Stewart lol
Morgan freeman. Liam neesan. Jeremy irons
Liam neesoon or idris elba
Idris!! YES!!
Jim Dale is literally the best Harry Potter narrator EVAH!!!
Morgan Freeman or Liam Nessan
John Carradine reading The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Fantastic job!
Peter Cullen or the Muses from Hercules
Bill Nighy, Benedict Cumberbatch,
James Earl Jones. Morgan Freeman. I could listen to them read some horribly technical book, have no idea what they were talking about, and still love it!
