I do. I also put a lot of thought into those I write just in case. Some of my ARC readers were delighted to have been mentioned by name at the end of my current book, and it’s also a time to thank those who have helped with research, publishing, blogging, or just generally being supportive.
Me too. Sometimes there is an interesting little story in the acknowledgments and often there is more about the movie after the credits – I’m always the last to leave ?
@Joy exactly. I love those little extras. I also can’t stand seeing people leaving concerts or any sports events. My husband used to be the one saying ” if we leave now we will miss the traffic” He has learnt haha, we will miss the traffic if we stay until everyone else has left.??
I sometimes skim the start of the acknowledgements but if the first people they thank are their editor and publisher then I don’t bother with the rest. I know they are an important part of the process but they are also earning money from the sales whereas people who have given their free time and advice are, in my opinion, the ones who should be thanked first. I like to learn that a certain police officer has helped with a crime book for example…..it gives it a more of an authoritative feel to the book ?♀️?
It’s a habit to read them right through. Not usually terribly illuminating but it’s like not staying the end of a film for the bit after the credits! Too nosy in case I miss something. @Tina taught me that! Not the nosy thing, the film thing!!
I spend a long time writing mine, more as a tribute to the people who help me than for anyone else. I’ve no idea if anyone looks at them, but I do look at other authors’ acknowledgements.
I do and like Craig, I’ve been mentioned in a few. It’s a lovely feeling seeing your name appear. I’m also just nosey and like to see who the authors mention!
Just to confirm, i always do

Good point ???
If I have enjoyed reading the book, I will want to know more about the writer, but I have no interest in editors and publishers.
I usually do unless it’s simply a list of names and then I skim read.
I do. I think it’s interesting to know who helped or inspired the writer.
Me. They are one of my favourite parts of a book.
Only if the book has been exceptionally good then i read everything.
I always read them but am not exactly sure why?

I have and I know of others who’ve tried, however unless you buy $50 of books from Amazon, they won’t allow you too. How sick is that?
Oops – I thought that was reviews. Gulp!
Your enthusiasm is definitely appreciated ??
