Seeing as it’s Halloween what are your favourite crime tinged horror reads? Phil Rickman always delivers great creepy reads with a hint of crime.

My hotmail alert ended with ‘…what are your favourite…’. I thought the next two words were going to be ‘scary movies’. Had to resist the temptation to look out the window for a psycho in a Scream mask. Now I’ve seen the actual question (!), John Connolly’s Every Dead Thing is well up on my list.
Yes! Love John Connolly but it’s leave the lights on stuff!
The Hound of the Baskervilles still does it, too.
Keep meaning to read John Connolly but never seem to get round to it and you can’t beat a bit of Sherlock!
Another set of books I haven’t read!
Will have a look when I get a minute.
Hi rob, I read a book a few weeks ago called The Hellend Redemption which is crime/creepy,it is set in Cornwall.I don’t really read creepy books however it was really a good read.i have a Phil Rickman book called December haven’t read it yet but heard it’s a good read.
Oh December is one of his best Joan very creepy though the blurb sounds weird but once you are into it then it is a cracking read!
Thanks Rob.
The beginning of Mark Edwards’ Follow You Home freaked me out. Probably shouldn’t have started reading it last thing at night… ?
The best time to read a creepy book is late at night ha ha
@Robin This is true ?
J.A. Konrath Jack Daniels series Luther Kite is the scariest person I have ever read about
Love Phil Rickman, james Oswald writes a cracking supernatural ensue crime, I also like rivers of London by Ben aaronovitch for the same reason
