hahaha yeah ok I get that! I also feel like I have to read them, or I can’t say I’ve read the whole book. But very often I just skim over them, since I don’t know any of the people mentioned (but I freak out if I do?)
Nope. Acknowledgements to mean are for the person who they are specifically put there for. Otherwise it’s like reading a very private thank letter or text. It makes it too personal.
I get that. Acknowledgements are more for the authors themselves and the people they thank than for the readers. Though I suppose it could also be seen as a way to show the reader all the people that were involved. In a way it’s private, but in a way it’s not^^
I read them when I finish the book and I can´t realize that the book is actually over?. And I read them because some authors thank other authors for help and I find that kinda interesting….idk whyXD
If I really connect with a book I do, otherwise I just skim. If I didn’t like the book at all, I skip it altogether because I just want the book to be over lol
I do if I really like the book and I just need more ? Sometimes they have funny stuff in there! The last one I read was Obsidio’s, it was hilarious!
haven’t read the illuminae files yet. now I feel compelled too, just bc of the acknowledgements?
Almost, always.
Just if I like the ending. If I’m angry, I don’t. I fight with the authors that way
I read all Victoria Aveyard’s
Yes
Absolutely!
Yeah sometimes they are so sweet or funny
Yep. Maybe I’m just weird…but I feel like I have to read all the pages. ?

I only read them the first time i read the book

Same here.
Usually.

I like to know the team that helps make the books I love happen. Who has helped inspire.
Sometimes

Depends on the book. If I’m really not ready for it to end I’ll read the acknowledgements just to hang on for a little bit more ?
Same! :’D
yeeeesh, always
Only when I’m studying them for inspiration when I have to write my own. ?
Yes I do
Always.
Yes! I try to make the book last as long as possible!
Yea all the time. Sometimes I don’t like to think that the book is over so it’s my way of prolonging it
only if it was a really good book
Yessss! For some reason I really like reading the acknowledgments.
Every time. Lol
Sometimes :\
Most of the times
Nope
No, when I get a book I just start reading it
Not usually but occasionally
If its an author that I love then yes I do.
No, I head straight to chapter one.
and if the acknowledgements are at the end?:)
Reminisce about the story and flip through the rest of the pages dazed, glance through the acknowledgement like a binary code. Close the book.
Yes, sometimes. Because a book doesn’t just happen because of an author. All the people that are mentioned contributed too.
I love them!
No ?♀️
Always ❤️
Every time. I love knowing more from the author.
I usually do.
Never
Not until I finish the book Lol and if the book was bad then I usually skip it!
It depends
Sometimes, it depends on the author I think
Sometimes if Ive read the book a couple of times before.
Depends on the author
