Alcatraz vs The Evil Librarians series Chronicles of Narnia The Wizard of Oz Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Matilda A Wrinkle in Time Bridge to Terabithia Holes The Graveyard Book Coraline
My boys loved the Goosebumps books, Treehouse mysteries, Junie B Jones and any Royald Dahl books! If you or another adult reads to him, as well as him reading to himself then the Royald Dahl books are fun for grown ups too. The BFG is fantastic, The Twits, Witches, Charlie and Choc Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda ect.. Also Shel Silverstein’s Where The Sidewalk Ends book of poems is super fun! Charlottes Web, The Mouse and The Motorcycle, Percy Jackson and Diary of A Wimpy Kid.
Oh and if he is a silly boy then Captain Underpants is excellent.. those books are what started one of my sons really reading.. a super hero flys around in underwear and a cape… two boys pull funny pranks at school by changing the letters around on signs to read fart and things like that.. lots of fart jokes.. my kid loved them
