I’ve never done one before, this’ll be my first, but I’m doing 52. One for each week. I’ve read 20+ books the last two months this year though so I’m sure I’ll surpass that lol
I’m going back to just reading for fun in 2019. I feel like I spent a lot of time figuring out how many pages I need to read each day to finish books faster. I’m going to keep track of what I read but I’m not setting a goal this year.
My goal for 2019 is to read all the harry potter books. I’ve never read them, only watched the movies. I’ve read the 1st book and will be starting the second one in a few days.
I did 50 for 2018 and I’m almost to 60 so I’m thinking I’ll go with 60. I plan on reading series books that I need to finish up or start some new ones – mainly that I have on my Kindle. I think that will be an easy goal since once you start a series you just gotta finish it LOL
Nay, girl, that’s still 30 more than most people I know will read in the next five years! LOL ? I read 27 this year, on my 28th right now but won’t finish it till next year. Good for you!!!
@Lyn You are so right! Most of my friends here don’t read at all. I’m on my 21st and as fast as I’m reading, I might finish it before the new year haha trying to make it last 😛
My goal is to read 1 personal development book, 1 business related book and 1 just for fun book a month in 2019. If my math is right that will be 36 books! ?
I have done 40 the last 2 years and came short both years. So I’m going to lower it to 35. I’m currently reading this years 31st book so 35 should be doable.
Im doing the Pick Your Poison Reading Challenge.. I chose to do the Bakers dozen of 13 books.. i am really trying to stick to this goal of reading 13 books this year instead of 1 or 2…!!
at least one book a month…at least until May when I retire. Most the books I read are middle school level, albeit I try to read the more challenging of the middle school books. Not into the Wimpy Kid stuff…I just stock it. I don’t read it.
75 books and 20000 pages. (With a few sub goals: read at least 5 books with more than 500 pages, read 12 books off the 1001-list, read as many oldies as I possibly can.)
@Flo , I do too. I just can’t help it. And I enjoy it! It’s a part of me. May Peace be with you as you find joy & peaceful solitude in the gift of books, in this upcoming year….
Just reading. You know, at my own pace. I get anxious if I set up a number of books I have to read. I don’t need that kind of struggle taking away from my reading experience.
I never set a reading goal as it often depends on which authors have signings – but my goal is to attend more book signings this coming year I missed out lots due to train strikes or not being able to get the time off work
52 (on Goodreads) and I‘m trying to do this „Pick a Poison“ one, just for fun. (So I‘ll try to fit the 52 books I read somewhere into these categories ?.)
I think I’m going to try for 150 again, and this year try to stick with it rather than go over. I really need to do some other things with my life instead of reading so much.
I didn’t keep track of my books this year until the last few months. And I had my goal set to 20. So in 2019 I’m setting my goal to 100, which I’ll probably surpass
I usually just go 1 up from the amount I completed the previous year. So, since I am at 54 now, if I don’t finish anymore by the end of the year, than my goal will be 55 next year.
To finish all the series that I have started over the years! It’s driving me crazy having all these unfinished series, especially the ones that are complete and all the books have been released!
My goal is always 100. One day… I also want to read my vast personal library. Honestly, I am beginning to think I like collecting books more than actually reading them.
I’m turning thirty in 2019 so I’d like to read thirty books of my choice/that are on my wishlist as well as around 20 for the purpose of reviewing. I had a goal of 100 this year and didn’t quite make it, and I’m finishing my third year of Uni in 2019 as well as working full time so I’m working to accept that my numbers will be less this year! 😀
My goal for 2018 was 15, very low but there is a story to it. This year I am aiming for at least 24 books
75. And to continue to attempt to branch into genres I typically have a hard time with.
I’ve never done one before, this’ll be my first, but I’m doing 52. One for each week. I’ve read 20+ books the last two months this year though so I’m sure I’ll surpass that lol
36, 3 per month. Working 3 jobs I had a hard time getting there this year. If I do better I’ll up it to 52
I’m impressed with working 3 jobs! I work a regular job and have three home businesses so I understand the struggle lol
@Nay it’s hard but it’s nice and relaxing at night ?
Definitely. It’s the part of the day that I look forward to most ^_^
@Nay me too!
36 will be my goal too
@Kim we can do it!
2018 was 50 but I got to 29. So 2019 I will set it to 30 maybe 35.
I’m going back to just reading for fun in 2019. I feel like I spent a lot of time figuring out how many pages I need to read each day to finish books faster. I’m going to keep track of what I read but I’m not setting a goal this year.

@Johanna– When you finish those you should try Fablehaven.
103
Going to try for 70. My goal this year was 50 and I got to 67
I did 50 for 2018 and I’m almost to 60 so I’m thinking I’ll go with 60. I plan on reading series books that I need to finish up or start some new ones – mainly that I have on my Kindle. I think that will be an easy goal since once you start a series you just gotta finish it LOL
I’m going to try for 200 🙂
I’m going to try to read 30 books 🙂
@Nay That’s three more than most people I know will read! ??
Lol I meant to type 30 ??
Fixed it haha
Nay, girl, that’s still 30 more than most people I know will read in the next five years! LOL ? I read 27 this year, on my 28th right now but won’t finish it till next year. Good for you!!!
Ha ha! I definitely will try for 3, maybe more! 🙂
@Lyn You are so right! Most of my friends here don’t read at all. I’m on my 21st and as fast as I’m reading, I might finish it before the new year haha trying to make it last 😛
@Nay, I feel your pain…my friends are always amazed that I’m reading! LOL ? You can do it, make that 21st fit into this year!!! ?
My goal is to read 1 personal development book, 1 business related book and 1 just for fun book a month in 2019. If my math is right that will be 36 books! ?
I’m going to try 120 and see how I do
I set my first challenge at 100 and I’m at 117 right now
You all are awesome!
No goal this year, just to read and enjoy! I’ll still keep track on Goodreads, but I’m not setting my sights on a number. ?
I am targeting 75 books this year and including genres which I usually do not read
I’m going to set mine at 52 for 1 book a week Happy Reading everyone ?
I have done 40 the last 2 years and came short both years. So I’m going to lower it to 35. I’m currently reading this years 31st book so 35 should be doable.
100
I am going to attempt 100. We’ll see how that goes…
I’d like to read 50 ?
85
Im doing the Pick Your Poison Reading Challenge.. I chose to do the Bakers dozen of 13 books.. i am really trying to stick to this goal of reading 13 books this year instead of 1 or 2…!!
100
1 book every month
at least one book a month…at least until May when I retire. Most the books I read are middle school level, albeit I try to read the more challenging of the middle school books. Not into the Wimpy Kid stuff…I just stock it. I don’t read it.
I one physical/ebook + one audiobook a week!
75 Books
My goal is to read what can teach or enhance my knowledge, and to read what I enjoy.
I am going to start small and say 20.
75
More than 5
Make a dent in reading what I already own.
I plan to read 52 books and 52 graphic novels. I’m hoping to read bigger books in 2019 since I tend to enjoy them more.
I read 75 books this year – so next year more than that.
To read uninterrupted by my 5 year old while drinking an entire cup of hot coffee. #thuglife
@Samara #momlife is far more challenging then #thuglife….. I wish you well on that challenge ?
This is so my goal too! I truly feel like my 5 year old thoroughly enjoys interrupting me no matter what I’m doing, just to interrupt me.
@Jess especially when we get on the phone! Perfectly quiet until the phone rings, then Mama, Mama, MAMA
@Shannon girl yes!!!
To read more different genre’s then I usually do. I am a romance junkie.
A book a week, so 52. ???
same here.
Not sure yet
I’m going for 150 books.
30 would be nice.
150
I went for 30 this year and will end the year at 47. I’m going to aim for 40 though because I may want to read some longer ones this year
52. One book a week.
40 plus non fiction
32
52 books and/or 20,000 pages.
I’m also going to try to work through some of my “to be read” books before I buy more.
52
75 books and 20000 pages. (With a few sub goals: read at least 5 books with more than 500 pages, read 12 books off the 1001-list, read as many oldies as I possibly can.)
Managed 15 this year so going to up it to 25 for 2019 ??
Love to read at least 100, but have a baby on the way. Think I’ll be busy. So 25 books is my goal.
25-30. My 2018 goal is 20 and I’ve finished 23.
Last year was 80 and I read 109 (including audiobooks which I discovered this summer ) so this year I’m setting my goal at 100 ?
read more than last year ???
120. Looks like this year will be 124
My goal was 50 and I’m ending the year at 70 so I’m thinking I may push for 75 books this year.
my goal last year was 60 and I have read 68, so I think I will up to 70.
To stop reading three books @ one time.
That I cannot do. I have a different book in many locations that I read for various reasons.
@Flo , I do too. I just can’t help it. And I enjoy it! It’s a part of me. May Peace be with you as you find joy & peaceful solitude in the gift of books, in this upcoming year….
80

May I ask? What is “Pick a Poison”?
@Anja curious about this as well!!
@Shannon Flo Dee : it‘s this challenge… I‘ve lost the link, but took a pic! @Niffer knows more!
This is the link to the blog post. There’s a couple of downloadable files on it so you can track what you read. I’d love to have more people try it!

Hooray!
Lots and lots! That’s my goal and I’m sticking to it!
Ive read almost 62 this year but I’m going to lower it to 50. Im going to take my time and get through my pile of unread books that I own.
My usual 50!! ?
I think I’m going to try for 150 again, and this year try to stick with it rather than go over. I really need to do some other things with my life instead of reading so much.
100 hopefully
70! I did a goal of 52 this year and am at 66
I didn’t keep track of my books this year until the last few months. And I had my goal set to 20. So in 2019 I’m setting my goal to 100, which I’ll probably surpass
24 at least 🙂
Sadly, I haven’t been reading as much as I used too. So if I get through one book that would be an achievement. I have about 4 books in mind to read.
40 books.
I also want to reread Harry Potter this year ?
@Nicole I want to reread Harry Potter too! Great goals ?
My goal is always 100. One day… I also want to read my vast personal library. Honestly, I am beginning to think I like collecting books more than actually reading them.
I’m thinking 40. Would love to read more but I’m a stay at home mom and going back to school full time ?
To enjoy everything I read….
12 books, this was my year to read as much as I could (almost to 150), next year I want to focus on writing.
Read the harry potter series
Read WOT.
My theme is self-development primarily, with some fun reads between. 🙂
I want to read some longer books, so I am going for 40 again this year.
To read 60 books
60 books!
I’m turning thirty in 2019 so I’d like to read thirty books of my choice/that are on my wishlist as well as around 20 for the purpose of reviewing. @Katy maybe I should do something like this too. Cause I’m also turning 30 in 2019.
@Lesley trouble is… I’m not sure what thirty to read!
My goal is to read 100 books. Hopefully I get somewhere close to that. 🙂
