Ok sorry ive been driving all day! Go to your play store and download Goodreads. Then you can keep track of books youve read and want to read. You can make you a readimg challenge for the year and have book friends to follow what others are reading. ?????
40 books. Just finished number 8 last night. I didn’t keep track last year, so not sure how close I got. I’m a full-time student so this reading goal is probably unrealistic?
@Emma I usually read during my way to and from work. It is about 1-1,5 hour of reading and in the evening when they are already asleep and instead of watching tv I read
How old are your children can I ask? Mine are 7 and twin 5 year olds. Even when they are at school… I’m a stay at home mum/housewife I have so much to do. So I plan to do more evening reading. And want to take 30 mins a day to read also then extend it if I can. Thank you so much for tip x
@Emma my kids are little bit bigger 10 and 5. But bigger daughter has already a lot of hobbies so she always busy. And probably I am lucky cause my husband doing half of the chores in the house. So in the evening I have some time for myself and my hobby ?
52. I’m getting ready to start book 9 today or tomorrow. I read every chance I get. My kids are grown and when I have down time from work I read. I have just started using audio books and I listen to them every chance I get, cleaning house, getting ready for work and cooking supper other than that my nose is in my kindle.
That should be easy for me to do, since my shelves are in order. I am using the basket (jar) this year. This may be something I will do for 2020. Thank you for the idea, Lynn Richardson.
I am reading a book for one of my clubs. It is a painful procedure, and is taking me forever to get through it. I had a good run of completing my novels until I approached this one.
last year my goal was 75 and I read 83 so I’ve set my goal for this year as 85. I’m also doing the popsugar challenge to read a broader range of books that I don’t usually read and just finished still alice today and have now started beautiful creatures.
I’m working on an hour figure. 12 hours of dedicated reading per week. Basically at least an hour per day plus a couple of longer blocks. I’m worried that if I put a number of books as a goal, I’ll read for the sake of finishing rather than immersing myself in the story.
@Shahone that’s amazing!!!! I thought I was doing good with having 4 books completed this month lol. You keep this up and you’ll surpass your goal in no time.
@Kelly-Ann So true! Today I was reading at Starbucks and this random guy comes to sit down at the table with me to be able to plug in his phone. Now I was reading Between Shades and almost done, he tried to start a conversation but I answered very briefly trying to get him to leave me alone. Finally another table opened up and I pointed it (nicely)out to him he said “okay I’ll leave you alone now”. 🙂 I was like FINALLY…lol My husband said he was trying to hit on me. I was more interested in my book than him!
@Domenique love it. What is it with moment you pick up a book people want to talk. Not hubbys though they know better. Book blocker haha. Must admit my family have gone to shopping centre l stayed home to have a sneaky read
50. Same as last year, which I fulfilled but only by reading really short books in December!! ? Seriously, it worked out well, because one of those books was Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, which I had somehow never read, and it was fantastic.
Mine is 52, same as last year, though l ended up with 86.
150.

52, but I’m not off to a great start.
Didn’t set one. This year I’m putting $1 in a jar for every book finished and I’ll use the money to go book shopping at the end of the year.
70. Pretty steep for me.
40 books that I bought before 2019.
50 books. First time I’ve tried this!

15 books, two done already. A realistic target because I’d rather beat it than scrape it.
100, but it’s only that high because I include Mangas
40 books, I managed to read 52 books last year for the first year ever, but I did have surgery, so thought I’d be realistic and go with 40.
40 books. Just finished number 8 last night. I didn’t keep track last year, so not sure how close I got. I’m a full-time student so this reading goal is probably unrealistic?
50, on book 4
40…3 down…

@Emma that’s my goal too – 2 books a month!
50 books
78
52…aiming for one a week!
130 books
60 books
I think 85 but might cut it down. I’ve been in a rut lately. Just a lot of things happened in the past month and a half and I’m still reeling.
This year I drop it to 80, cause with two kids I can’t manage to 100 books a year
How do you manage so many books with 2 kids? I have 3 under the age of 8 and only managed 6 books last year out of 25. Tips would be great x

So far I have completed 7 out of 15 books, but if I finish 15 books early, I’ll edit the reading goal
105 book, 50 of them from the popsugar reading challenge and then I want to read at least 20 books by authors I haven’t read anything by before.
60 🙂

40 books I know it’s kinda low

I read for enjoyment so I dont normally set a goal…but if I did set one it would be between 26 and 52.
90
I’ve read 9/90 so far…working on book 10 ?
35, but I’m going to make it higher if I reach my goal

50
Bumped my goal up to 2 a month… 24.
As many academic papers as possible which will be useful to make a critical argument.
I’m hoping to read A-Z of authors from my existing book collection so 26
That is a fun idea! Are you doing it in alphabetical order or checking off letters as you read them?
@Flo I’ve started alphabetically and onto C just now:
A – Jeffrey Archer
B – John Boyne
C – Angela Carter
That should be easy for me to do, since my shelves are in order. I am using the basket (jar) this year. This may be something I will do for 2020. Thank you for the idea, Lynn Richardson.
@Flo you’re welcome! Happy reading
Always 100. One day/year I will reach it.

50. Same as last year, which I fulfilled but only by reading really short books in December!! ? Seriously, it worked out well, because one of those books was Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, which I had somehow never read, and it was fantastic.
30. I’m on my 3rd so far
100. I’m starting my 9th.
I’m going to do a challenge this year. I want to savour my reading and not rush through it ?
@Dallas Good for you!
