Mine is also 52. Like @Kathy, last year’s goal was higher (120) and I found myself rushing thru books trying to teach it. This year I’m savoring my reads and not doing a marathon! I am, however, way ahead
I set mine at 352 on good reads. What I had in mind was 52 chapter books and 300 children’s books. I am a home instructor and been keeping track of what we read. With that being did I’m on 40/52 and 54/300 picture books.
@Teri Yes I do read fast, but also because of chronic pain and illness I’m home all the time, I read as a outlet to help me take my mind off of hurting 24/7.
You’re so right @Tonni, I’m the same way. But I can’t seem to read more than 2-3 books a week. Right now I’m trying to get several books read and reviewed for Netgalley. I requested a bunch thinking I wouldn’t get approved for all of them and got approved for 17!!!!
I usually set my goal for 50, that’s about a book a week. That generally includes some photo-intensive books, such as home decor and art technique books, so the reality is probably 45 books a year – but the most important thing (to me) is to read for pleasure and attempt to remember what I liked or disliked about whatever I’ve read!
I’m a book a week girl, and the better the book, the more slowly I want to read it, so I don’t miss out on any beautiful language and can prolong being in another world.
I never set reading goals. I read each book at the pace I feel it (and I) deserve. For me it’s not about quantity, but quality. Plus, I have to find time to actually write one per year to keep my agent and publisher happy! :p
I never think about the number of books! Some I can’t put down! Others I struggle with ( But I never give up on!) and they take longer and then there are those I purposely stop reading b/c I can’t stand the thought of finishing it!! So! I honestly don’t have a number! ?
I have put down a few I didn’t start doing that until after I turned 50. Suddenly I realized if it feels like pulling teeth I don’t have to read it. I do admire tenacity though!

Great @Margaret! You must either read fast or have a lot of time to read.
@Teri Yes I do read fast, but also because of chronic pain and illness I’m home all the time, I read as a outlet to help me take my mind off of hurting 24/7.
@Teri I think that is the case for manny voracious readers.

I’m the same way.
Wow. I am so impressed by everyone here. I read about a book a week. (I think.)
50
As many as possible

50 books!
Just 50 this year.
I never set reading goals. I read each book at the pace I feel it (and I) deserve. For me it’s not about quantity, but quality. Plus, I have to find time to actually write one per year to keep my agent and publisher happy! :p
I had 50 because I had no idea how many books I read in a year. I believe I am at 29 now so I should have guessed higher.
I just read one after the other. I have no ‘goals’. That would be too much like work. I read for pleasure. Maybe I read about 50 per year.
100 and I am on 30
I don’t set goals. I read as enjoyable time no race enjoy
75, just finished 30. I read 5 in the past week while on break from school.
To enjoy every book I read.
I never think about the number of books! Some I can’t put down! Others I struggle with ( But I never give up on!) and they take longer and then there are those I purposely stop reading b/c I can’t stand the thought of finishing it!! So! I honestly don’t have a number! ?

200! I’m at 102 right now ?
40 or more since I read and crochet simultaneously.

I put 60 for my goal on goodreads. If I can go over, I will.
Just to make time for reading!! Such a simple pleasure!!
100 books.
As many as I can.
Mine is one a week – 52 – but I’m already at 38.
I’m on #30. 2 to 3 a week!
100 but I’ve read 74 so I think I’m gonna raise it to 150.
Mine is 100. I’m at 54
50 books.
I read between 50 – 60 per year but I am at about 30 already.
I’m on 56 of 265 according to Goodreads. But they aren’t counting my rereads which I do on favorites.
50 books in total and trying to read one non- fiction book per month
