I’ve seen Lilac Girls around here a few times, I didn’t realize it was about the holocaust. I’ll have to look closer at it!
The above mentioned books gives you history wrapped in stories, and much of the history mentioned is factual. All are very informative.
Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly, is very good.

Agree on Elie Wiesel – have read Night. Lilac girls is on my TBR list
He has several books, they are all as good as Night. His writing has so much feeling.
