This is such a struggle for me! I love a real book but I am so busy working and going to school both full time I actually listen to audiobooks the most. I love carrying my kindle because what I want to read changes based on my mood and I have so many options on there.
I love both. But… ebooks are “real books”. Some of my published work is ebook only for a few reasons. As an author, it breaks my heart when people think they aren’t “real books”. It takes just as much work to write an ebook as it does a print book. I read an equal amount of both. Both have their pros and cons. I love both.
I wasn’t saying that to be mean I know a lot of people who refer to them as “real books” and I think it’s funny cause to me a book is a book I think the whole concept is you can’t touch it, smell it, it don’t weight anything like a paper or hard back therefore it’s not “real” idk that’s my take anyway, I do subscribe to a few authors that just offer ebooks then sometimes later come out with physical books.
I love both. But the majority my books are ebooks. It’s just a lot more convenient and the new books are cheaper. My library is pretty far. I still have a couple hundred print books for me and have a bookcase full of children’s books. 🙂
I read on my kindle way more than a physical book. I always have it with me and like that I have hundreds of books with me at all times. I am also a kindle unlimited member which gives me lots of options!
Oh, can I ask you a few questions? I wanted to look in to Kindle unlimited, first do you need a credit card? or could you use gift cards? and if you write a review does it say verified purchase? sorry, I wanna find out as much as I can before I get it for some reason Amazon doesn’t explain it.
You do have to use a credit card, a gift card cannot be used for Kindle Unlimited. I am almost positive about that because I looked into it for my mom before. You get a free trial for a month so you can try it before committing.
” A book is a book whether paper or nook. As long as you read, that’s all that you need. So don’t lose sleep over stuff like this. Pick up a book & enjoy pure bliss”. ?
Both .. I love the way I can make the font bigger on my kindle… the older I get, the smaller the print gets in books 🙂 But ,, there’s nothing like holding a ‘real’ book … or the smell of a new book.
You really can’t compare the two. I love the crack of a new book’s spine when you first open it. And the smell of the pages and the full immersive experience of a real book. I can’t read ebooks too long. I end up buying a physical copy.
Both but I’m always using an e-reader unless the book I’m after isn’t available on the kobo then I buy it in paperback but I’m a faster reader on the kobo.
It’s the same for kobo. Books are cheap as well (you’ve just got to buy them at the right time before the price goes up). You can get quite a lot of free books as well depending on what the book is. Also sometimes if there is a deal on book series, you can get the whole book series for a low price as well as the first book free.
Yes, but some books I want to read r not at my library, it’s a really big one. But it has so many books. My problem is I have so many books, it’s hard for me to decide what I want to read next
Nothing compares to a real book.

E-books have no heft, nor weight. No pages to wave in the wind.
Yes. ?✌️

Oh, I didn’t think you yourself meant it that way. It was just my two cents on the issue, I guess… You’re good, dude ?

I’m not sure I use a credit card and have used one since I got it.. I don’t do reviews so I’m not too sure

Both. I love the collectability and tangibility of real books, but I like the portability of e-books, and the ability to read in the dark.
In the dark, and one handed! I totally agree with all of this.
Yep^^^

THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE THING
Real books, but I use both
Love Black Books!
Real all the way
Both! Nothing compares to a real book that one can snuggle with, but even a Kindle one would do… love reading!
BOTH. I love my Kindle app when we’re gone. And I love that I can still have real books too.
Definitely a book I can hold in my hands and pages I can turn?

I go to lots of dr’s appointment. Kindle is much easier to carry.
Plus books are super cheap for kindle.

Hmmmmm! I wonder if I can get a Kobo here.
Never seen them around.
@Darla Where do you live?
Arkansas. USA
Darla Obrien Well the website I use to get the books is a U.S. but i can use it considering I live in the UK
Yes I found a whole list of them.
Both, just learning about my kindle. Books take up too much room, will start selling books again except authors I collect after knee surgery.
I go to the library a lot. I have curtailed that because of surgery but I’m sure I will start back soon. Can’t seem to help myself.
Yes, but some books I want to read r not at my library, it’s a really big one. But it has so many books. My problem is I have so many books, it’s hard for me to decide what I want to read next
The struggle is definitely real!
