The first two books, the witching hour and lasher are really good, after that things start getting weird.
Soooo good. Very detailed but a great generation story.
I loved it!
Excellent. It is long, but I enjoyed it.
I loved it.
It’s a bit unusual, but I liked it.
Loved it! Best book of the series
Hated it. That’s one if the books that made me stop reading Rice
On my TBR.
one of my favorites! read it twice! and plan on reading again, as I just found a copy of Lasher!
My favorite Anne Rice book. But I recommend stopping at this one. The sequels keep getting weirder and weirder and really turned me off.
Thanks for the heads up!
I couldn’t get into Lasher – it was too weird even in the beginning. So I just count the first one as a stand-alone book.
@Jen me too
I liked the series – and it connects with the Vampire Chronicles in the last book
I liked it.
I loved it. My favorite Anne Rice book.
I’m reading it now and I’m obsessed
Is it so good? Can I borrow?
Ebook. You have to try it.
You do know it’s part of a series
The Witching Hour – 1990
Lasher – 1993
Taltos – 1994
No I didn’t how did you like the other books some say The Witching Hour is the best one and I shouldn’t continue with the other books?
@Sandra I have to agree. I loved The Witching Hour. Unfortunately, it went down hill from there.
@Sandra Lasher is more about him how he got to where he is.
Taltos is more about the species he’s from mostly.
I prefer Taltos i’ve got no reason to nor do i think the other 2 are bad, just in my opinion read all of them.
@Leslie so I can probably just stop at the Witching Hour if I wanted to!
@Leslie I think I also prefer Taltos over Lasher, with The Witching Hour still my favorite.
@Sandra Yes, if you read Lasher you need to read Taltos and vice a versa
One of my all-time favorites! I have re-read it several times.
Haunting…so hauntingly good!
