Twilight! I took my niece to go see the second movie. I didn’t want to but my sister couldn’t take her. I was blown away and right after the movie was over I went out and bought the whole series and never looked back.
Hi Aileen – I recommend reading the book then watching the film as the book explains some otherwise less obvious parts of the film. Something even more true for Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep / Blade Runner.
The girl with the dragon tattoo. Definitely wasn’t my genre but it was the choice of my book club and I ended up loving it and also reading the rest of the trilogy.
It took me until about the half way point to get into the Dragon Tattoo and I loved them. The 4 one is written so similarly to the others you can’t tell it’s a different author, he did a great job.
I hated Moby Dick too!! I made myself finish it as I was on a classic phase. The only thing I learned from it was “Never go after anything bigger than yourself”. Lol!!!
The catcher in the rye. I was misled by a terrible summary when I was younger and have never thought of picking up the book, but I coincidently picked it up at a library (it was the only title I was familiar with). Now it’s one of my all time favorites!
Terrible summaries will be the end of me. I can’t trust summaries now.
Twilight… I got it as a gift and thought… “Jeez teeny bopper, why in the world would you get me this??” but read it and thoroughly enjoyed the whole series ! LOL
Yessss. I agreed to read it with my daughter because I thought it would be a bonding experience and LOVED it. Totally not my kind of book. Then I did the same thing with hunger games.
The Girl On The Bus by NM Brown ..This is an absolutely Brilliant book ..I was blown away by the storytelling. .This is an edge of your seat thriller as it’s very different .Loved it

The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory
Exodus… always thought it was biblical..It wasn’t & a brilliant story about the founding of the state of Israel????
Twilight and the hunger games thought would bore me to tears.

Have you read the fourth book that was written by a different author. Just wondering if it as is as good as the original three
It took me until about the half way point to get into the Dragon Tattoo and I loved them. The 4 one is written so similarly to the others you can’t tell it’s a different author, he did a great job.
