Hmm I don’t think so if you prefer more popular titles or famous authors. If you don’t mind reading mostly self-published material then it can be perfect. I recommend http://ereaderiq.com/ though ? it allows to follow amazon’s kindle deals
Also- check your local library’s website to see if they loan ebooks! My library has an amazing selection. It’s super easy to link it to your amazon & you can borrow books on your kindle file for free!
There are certain books that are part of the Kindle Unlimited library so with paying for Kindle Unlimited you can get the books without actually buying them. You get up to 10 books at a time & when you’re done reading 1 you return it & can get the next book that strikes your fancy. It’s basically Amazons version of a library service for the Kindle ebooks.
Not if your library has Overdrive/Libby or Hoopla! My elibrary has a HUGE selection of ebooks and audiobooks! I stopped paying for kindle unlimited and use my elibrary for free!
Yes. I finished 3 books last month. And returned 2 others. Had I bought them I would have spent well over $35. Instead I spent $10, I go over the $10 monthly fee every month. So it’s really worth it to me.
I have it. Have had it since June. If I can’t find it through my library, I check there. I’ve found a few titles I wanted to read. I‘ve also read and enjoyed books I might never have heard about. I’m not into reading the new releases/best sellers. So, for me, its great.
Here’s how I justify Kindle Unlimited: every day I get e-mails that books I want to read “some day” that are on sale. At least half of those are also on KU so I don’t need to buy them just because they are on sale. I probably save a few bucjs a month that way. And 2) my grandson is a reader and a couple of series that he likes are available there, and I just wouldn’t say no to him if he asked for one, even if money was tight. That takes care of it.
You can try the free trial and decide for yourself. Personally, I didn’t have much luck with it and would rather spend money on owning books I want instead.
I find it great when I’ve a run of spare time. Some are pretty dire tbh but hey, you’ve not paid a few quid for it, you can send it back and try a different one 😉 Also, as you use it, it starts to make good recommendations for you too.
If you live on a fixed income ku is a good way to read books you couldn’t afford otherwise. Several of my favorite authors use ku. I’ve also found new read. So for me personally it’s a win
Yup. But you have to open yourself up to independent authors. The big names books won’t be on here. But if you are like me. And read multiple books a month, then you can find really great stories and books
I just cancelled mine. It’s not worth it in my opinion. It’s cheaper to pay for an out of state library card and get better books! I pay $50 a year for Brooklyn, NY library card. It’s $70 cheaper than kindle unlimited for a year
I think it’s worth it. But I read a ton and I find a bunch in here. Like they said, big time authors arent on here, but when I dont have money to spend on books, and I have to wait for a hold to come in on overdrive, it helps! My mom uses my account too so we def get our money worth
Yes! I love it
Yes! There are so many books available with KU!
I don’t think the selection is good enough for $10/mo. I keep a KU wishlist and when amazon runs deals like $0.99 for 3 months I join.
I love it.
Absolutely

I think so. I’ve found so many authors through it that I originally wouldn’t have given a second glance to.

my family has found it’s worth it. We each have our own and very rarely can say we have nothing to read.

Yes, my husband has it, I use the same account, and my cousin uses it too.
It wasn’t for me. If you read a lot of romance it is
For me it wasn’t, but I know that this is all many people use. Sign up for the 30 day free trial and see for yourself.
It is not for me. I’d rather use my library account and check out free books.
