iPad or kindle for reading?
Jessica #questionnaire #e-book
Kindle, hands down for me. This is mine. Nonwaterproof Kindle Oasis
Kindle is where I read everything!
Kindle Paperwhite for me.
I just got a kindle fire for 35 bucks. It’s so much lighter than my iPad. Kindle is where it is at for reading.
I was amazed at how much lighter the fire is!! The paperwhite is half that! Got it so I could read while outside.
@Lou yeah I wanted the paperwhite as I didn’t need the tablet but I’m cheap and went with the cheapest
I love reading on my Kindle anywhere anytime.
Love my Kindle!
Both! I actually enjoy the reading experience better using the Kindle app on my iPad….it’s easier to use, and looks more like a book. It’s also much easier to navigate than the Kindle. But, I prefer my Kindle for when I’m reading at night because it is much easier on the eyes, much lighter and smaller to hold. My Kindle is also my favorite thing to take with me to read, if I’m traveling, or going somewhere where I will have a lot of down time.
I love my Paperwhite!
I just switched from a Kindle Fire to a Paperwhite and I love it! It’s great for Night Reading!
I have used both and theybare great but for outdoor reading kindle is life
If reading only, I’d say the Kindle. It has a different light. You can read at night on a Kindle, and it doesn’t keep you awake.
I like the kindle
With the iPad, I can adjust the background color and the font color. I like the ivory background with the brown font, much easier on the eyes!
Kindle Paperwhite. I do use my iPad for my grandchildren’s picture books.
I prefer a book but my other choice is an iPad
Kindle. When I broke my kindle and was using my iPad for reading i felt it not as easy as my kindle was when I was reading it at night.
I use my iPad, since I have one, but it is heavier. Usually it’s a book for me.
Kindle Oasis and sometimes a book depending what’s in my bookcase
Kindle paper white
Kindle paperwhite, hands down. I cant read on my iPad- I dont like the screen for long periods of time, and I get too distracted with other apps. My paperwhite is my most prized possession after my kids lol. I’d beg borrow and steal to replace it if the need ever arises?
@Jessica I love your post and it certainly brought a smile to me. I agree with you!! Jokingly I told my husband the only promise I need is the promise I will always have a Kindle Paperwhite. Thanks for the smile
Kindle always ❤️
I switched to iPad which gives me kindle, Google books, cloud library, and abode pdf and probably more options I haven’t discovered yet
I like the iPad, only because the Kindles kept freezing up right after the warranty was up.
I had one that did that, and called Amazon and got a replacement at a very much reduced rate.
I use the nook app. Or my old nook. 🙂 usually a real book though.
Kindle paperwhite ❤️❤️❤️
Kindle – paper white, preferably.
Kindle paperwhite! I can’t read on my phone or anything like it for long.
Kindle better for eyes health
a kindle ereader
I’ve decided to for go and actual ereader and get a tablet and add both nook and kindle apps. Don’t I got iPad or Samsung?
Know that’s not a device per se : the old fashioned kind. Lol
iPad. It holds all the apps!! Lol.
Yes. I like the 2-page format I can get on the app but reading on the iPad drains the battery. The Kindle is easier on my eyes and fits nicely in my purse.
Definitely the kindle! The battery lasts so much longer and I don’t have a glare from lights to deal with
I use my iPad or my phone.
I use my iPad or my iPhone
Kindle over ipad
I usually am on my phone, but sometimes I use my Kindle.
Nook…easier to take with me.
My kindle paperwhite. My iPad hurts my eyes.
Kindle or hard copy–never iPad
Real books for me…
Kindle. I love the size of the iPad but the backlight is too harsh on my eyes
Kindle and Nook. For the same reason some people say they love a “Real” book because of how it feels in their hands, I find my Kindle easer because of my arthritis. But in truth, it isn’t the format but the story and the writing.
I have an iPad for personal stuff, and a kindle fire for reading/travel. I keep personal stuff off my kindle.
I just went and bought a kindle today because my iPad pro is a bit much for reading
iPad kindle app
Love my NOOK ❤️
If you have an iPad you can read from the Kindle App, the iBooks App, the Kobo App, etc., but if you have a Kindle you can only read from Amazon! I have an iPad!
I don’t read from Amazon on the kindle. All of my books are in playbooks on Google. I send my books to the kindle app?. I think it’s a matter of the kindle is smaller, lighter, no social media distractions, etc.
I read Amazon Net Galley ARC’s n books I win on Goodreads on my kindle and have Amazon first ( free book to select first of each month: an advance copy) and I have a family library so my daughter and I can share books on my Kindle and her IPad
Nook, iPad, iPhone ….all depending on where I am and how much I want to carry. Love that they all sync up and find my page.
Kindle – paperwhite if you read outdoors or at night
I have two Kindles, a Fire and a Paperwhite! Love them both! ??
Kindle fire is perfect.I have one and I love it.
I have a kindle ..a nook, an iPad and 2 Samsung tabs 1 7″, and 1 10″……I must confess, I am not in live with my kindle and more often than not defer to one of the Samsung’s and use the nook or kindle app.
I considering a Samsung tablet and adding apps for both nook and kindle. How do you like the apps on your tablet? Nook is my reader of choice, have added a kindle app to the oldest one since I’m getting ARC’s from Net Galley. I’m running out of space and need a new one!
They work pretty much the same as each e reader. I have just the little kindle fire hd….not impressed with that at all, its klunky and kinda generic. The nook tablet is good. I just bought one for hubby for Christmas. I have a 256gb micro sd, so even with about 35 movies downloaded for offline viewing, i still have plenty of room for apps, books and music.
I usually defer to my samsung tablet, i dont like iTunes book app either, i cant seem to delete books i no longer want, i only use itunes for a book if it is my only option
Not in love it should have said
Hate when that happens ?❤️
I ended up having to bump the font up so large on my Kindle, even with reading glasses, that the device just became frustrating. Have defaulted to the iPad, though it gets heavy!
Bummer about your kindle
I had to do that, too. The reading experience is better on my iPad. I use my kindle if I’m reading in bed at night, or if I’m traveling.
I have to hold the book, itself! I have several on my IPad for some time and have yet to read them!
Books. Only books.
iPad and the real thing! ?
iPad is my preference for all my reading. Never thought I’d like anything other then actual book.
Books and kindle
I use both.
I’m a new e-reader!! Love reading on both
