A little bit. Recently it was a short thriller phase, ’cause I needed something easier to get into after all the “world building” from my short fantasy phase.
I prefer to read a different genre, straight after so after space I’ll go crime thriller, then perhaps , or I can get confused ( which world I’m in, what magic, and which character doing what). But if it’s a series I binge ?
Sometimes, but being In two books club helps me not do that, but if I was choosing a book it’s often a sessional hallmark romance, like a Christmas romance in December
All the time! Right now I am on a YA binge!

I’d love to hear some urban fantasy recommendations!
Bewitching Hannah by Leigh Goff
I just started this one last night.

I just read Karen Chance’s Cassandra Palmer series. Loved it! Can’t wait for the next book.
Oh what sort of stuff is that??
Urban fantasy has shifters, vampires, elves, witches, shadowy organizations, magic, and my favorite, kick-ass heroines with swords and guns.
@GM excellent – thanks
Dresden Files!!!!
@Oscar where’d you get that!?
May I message you?
Oh, well damn. I was thinking it was some kind of promotional item you had. That would be cool to find Dresden business cards.
@Victoria No, nothing like that.
@Oscar sure
I don’t think Jim would mind terribly if you ordered a set of business cards from http://moo.com/ — it could be fun.
OMG! Yes!!! And one author will send me over to another!

Yes, I read fantasy but also write it. I tend to read Neil Gaiman mainly, he’s awesome at fantasy.
Neverwhere is my favorite Gaiman book.
@Oscar I have that one, sitting on my shelf.
Stardust was my fave but I loved the movie first, then found the book.
Greek Mythology right now!!!!
Tanya Huff has a series called The Blood Books. The first is Blood Ties. It had a short-run TV series too in 07.
I like Tanya Huff, but I read her Confederation sci-fi series.
@GM Didn’t know she had another series. Blood books are definitely urban fantasy, though. Vamps, Egyptian gods, demons, all that good stuff
Yep I’m all about Vikings right now!
I’ve just finished a Dystopian binge but I mainly read fantasy and sci-fi so technically I’m always binging on that ?
Have you read Blaze Ward’s Jessica Keller series? I love it!
No I haven’t but I will look out for it, thanks 🙂

Yes, generally. But since Clare and I write fantasy and urban fantasy that’s what we tend to read.
I love urban fantasy and am searching for more.
I usually juggle three different genres at once and read by what I feel. Usually a fantasy, a philosophical, and maybe a manga or comic.
without really trying, I read a lot of historical fiction.
