Can anyone suggest some urban fantasy that isn’t about very young people! I’m getting old these aren’t fun!

Kings of the Wyld. It’s about an over-the-hill mercenary group that are like literal rockstars in their world. It’s amazing!
I didn’t say I was over the hill ! Lol but it’s intriguing thanks!
They’re still in their prime of ass kicking, I meant over the hill in the same way that 90’s bands are considered old school now.
@Jason I’m just teasing ty!
Ryan Anthony ty
Ryan Anthony there’s another book set in that world coming out later this year, I think.
The Dresden files, by Jim Butcher. A wizard detective in the modern world, where most people don’t believe in magic
Read them all! I loved them!
Garrett P.I. by Glen Cook or Kevin Hearne’s series, The Iron Druid Chronicles.
If I read through your suggestions, I am not sure if my deffinition of urban fantasy is correct 😀 anyway: The Iron Druid Chronicles
I missed the urban part
Dresden

Kate Daniels series and Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews
Rivers of London and the others in the series by Ben Arronovitch. The novel centres around the adventures of Peter Grant, a young officer in the Metropolitan Police; who, following an unexpected encounter with a ghost, is recruited into the small branch of the Met that deals with magic and the supernatural
Oh that sounds interesting!
They are really good and accurate to real locations in London. There is also a graphic novel series too which is good 🙂
@Emma Oh that is very appealing to me, thank you very much!
Neverwhere by Gaiman
I really didn’t like it. ☹️ And I really wanted to.
I also didn’t like the American Gods series . ?
It was a stand alone.
@Mary same here! And I also really wanted to! But I just couldn’t. It was so bizarre to me
Same. Disjointed bore fest.
Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne. (Which I’ve just recommended to someone else a few moments ago 🙂 )
I just started reading Hexed. So far, the Iron Druid Chronicles is a good series even though I am not a fan of urban fantasy
I don’t read a huge amount of UF to be honest, because I find most are just the same stories rolled out again and again and again… but finding a series like the Iron Druid Chronicles, which does something complete different, does make me keep trying 🙂
Thanks I think I will try the iron druid
The October Daye books by Seanan McGuire – my favourite urban fantasy and a good mix of ages!
REN: The man behind the monster by Sarah Noffke
Debra Dunbar imp series
What age bracket are you looking for?
I’m In my fifties tired of reading about kids
Jim butcher his Dresden files

He released a short story anthology recently and a new full length novel is due out this year as well
