This is dimension travel with a bit of time travel mixed in… It’s my debut YA sci-fi/fantasy that released in February 2018. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078Y7RJ6M
Outlander series (my fav), of course, by Diana Gabaldon. If you like YA, I’ve been reading the Immortal Descendants series by April White. Also love Chronicles of St. Mary’s series by Jodi Taylor.
One of my all-time favorites is Time and Again, by Jack Finney. It’s time travel through immersion and self-hypnosis; set in NYC in the 1960s and 1890s. Another good one is Michael Chrichton’s Timeline!
Tom’s Midnight Garden by Philippa Pearce and A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle are both classics The Time Traveller’s Wife is fab too. And if it’s okay to mention my own YA debut The Mirror of Pharos is a timeslip with a twist…
Doomsday Book, To Say Nothing of the Dog, and Blackout/All Clear, all of these are by Connie Willis. They are not a series, really. There is only one main character that is in all three books. You could really read them in any order. Doomsday Book goes back to medieval Europe, To Say Nothing of the Dog goes to Victorian England, and Blackout/All Clear to WWII. I loved these books!
Depends on the era. Douglas Adams, Steven Moffat, and Neil Gaiman have both written for the show as well as books. Moffat actually was a book writer first.
