Not even 1!!! It’s atrocious since I’ve been on holiday all month :/ I tried reading american War by Omar El Akkad but hated it so much I havent been able to will myself to pick up anything else
Maybe you should stop that and pick up another.. I used to force myself to finish books, but these days I find my time more valuable so I don’t stick to a book I really don’t like anymore.. have fun reading ?
Im a mum to two kids plus work part time but have fibromyalgia so there is days I have to have down days usually in bed or snuggled on sofa so can get alot of reading done then plus I have audio books when im in bath to try relax
I finished 5 in January but one of those I’d started end of December. I’ve been on Annual Leave so I’ve had time to read. I’ll be back at work on Wednesday and so back to only getting maybe 30mins of reading in a day 🙁
I think I’m a relatively fast reader with some books but it’s not that I read fast just to finish a book quickly. I just enjoy the story so much and don’t notice going through it quickly. I still very much enjoy the books.
I read about 3. First was Turtles All The Way Down by John Green, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets by JK Rowling (still reading but I’m almost done)
I only read 4 because I’m up to my ears in college assignments. That said, if I add in text books and the story books I read to the kids at school where I do work experience, it brings the total to 20-30.
This has been happening to me. I don’t know how many I’ve checked out from the digital library, started, then returned. Lately I’ve forced myself to read them, I’m usually glad I did.
Only? That’s still 2 wonderful (hopefully) journeys you went on in the space of 30 days, filled with (choose your own adjective) wacky, funny, scary, mysterious, demanding, obnoxious, courageous, silly, intelligent new friends. Only 2 is great if you ask me. 🙂 I’ve read 1.5 and I don’t want the .5 to end.
I only read 3, ive been extra busy with working two jobs and spending quality time with my new boyfriend. My goal is to find A great series to get sucked into
Any reading is good! Not in a contest with anyone, including myself. I am fortunate to have the time to read (don’t watch tv), and during January I read 25 books, of varying lengths.
@Mary Will finish them … not yucky…just been an off month.. February not looking so good either for reading. Started City of God, recommended from the Fr. Solanus biography I read, and it is very meditative.
7
10 in a month and that feels so good ?

@Annette yes, I dropped it! I don’t force myself to read either. But now I’m in a rut and don’t feel like reading, it’s so sad haha
Poor you… give yourself some time and when you feel up for it again, pick another book ? nothing to feel sad about, it happens..!

Sadly only 3.

Just 2. I read books Very slowly, looking up words & places as I go. Books truly open the world for me. I don’t understand reading a book fast.
I think I’m a relatively fast reader with some books but it’s not that I read fast just to finish a book quickly. I just enjoy the story so much and don’t notice going through it quickly. I still very much enjoy the books.
Only 3 but that’s actually good for me – trying to read more and force myself to squeeze it in between everything else is my New Years res

I only read 4 because I’m up to my ears in college assignments.
That said, if I add in text books and the story books I read to the kids at school where I do work experience, it brings the total to 20-30.
Same here i read all day but its mainly journal article n text books
Doing research for assignments accounts for most of my reading these days.
I still carve out time for a book of my choosing.
I try to. Usually if I stop off in town for a coffee, or bedtime reading.

I’m retired now so I set a goal of 1 per week but with the cold, dreary weather I surpassed my goal. I ended up reading 13 in January.

I didn’t finish a single one. I’ve been in a weird slump and no matter what I pick up I lose interest in.
This has been happening to me. I don’t know how many I’ve checked out from the digital library, started, then returned. Lately I’ve forced myself to read them, I’m usually glad I did.

Started 2, finished none. My goal was a book a week in 2018. ??????

I agree … reading is my preferred form of entertainment although I do watch 2 to 3 hours of TV per week.

I’m ashamed! 1 for pleasure, but I’ve read a lot for grad school. It’s just not the same!
Hey, you got one in. That’s great! Grad school first- then pleasure reading. ??
Yep! Went to college later in life while working full time. Read mysteries for maybe 30 minutes before bed! Give yourself some grace…
