@Jaime aww.. I’ve never read Dickens .. you shouldn’t force yourself to read. Just take a break for a while and come back to books with a fresh mind โค
It’s awesome !! And you really gave me a good idea to try reading a book every day ? And don’t feel bad if you can’t keep up with your goal, 27 books in a month is already a great achievement ! โคโค
Finished: Beneath A Scarlet Sky, Began & Completed: 1)Dรฉsire:The Story Of Napolean’s First Love (over 550 pgs.), 2)Next Year In Havana, 3) Women In The Castle: still reading
During my summers as a kid I could put away 1 a day with ease, but now as a father, employee of 45-50 hours a week, and general home owner – well I have very limited time, but I do try to fill it with a good book.
1 so far been mostly playing video game the new wow xpac came out so I been busy with that but trying to get back on the rails and finish 1984 it is a scary but fascinating book.
@Julie I’m only on the first few chapters but so far the political intrigue and the tension between the characters that haven’t even met yet is addictive.
@Julie I don’t think it’s as good as those, but yeah, something like that, at least so far. It’s got a patriarchal hierarchy, so I don’t know yet how that would parallel to 1984. I still haven’t gotten around to reading Brave new World to my shame. Its on my WTR list though so I will get to it eventually :/
1 and I am also a quarter of a way through my second one. I am having a hard time with this second book though. The bad thing is I am also a slow reader.

Complete books in august were 5, I did finish one other book that I didn’t start in august though. For me that is a lot comparing to my slump years those past years, it is the first year in a while where I will probably reach my Goodreads goal of 25 books and probably surpass it. It feels so good to be reading so much and enjoying it again. August was one of the better months I usually finish two a month. September will probably be like August though, we’ll see how it goes. I am enjoying it that is the main reason for reading and this group has helped so much with that!
3 books
2 only. And I’m yet to actually finish them
Iโve read 6 but it may be 8 by the end of the month. Iโm reading a collection of short stories and an audiobook on my commute.
about 10 I think.
*high five* ??

I tried Dickens for the first time since university but if itโs not Oliver Twist or a Christmas Carol Iโm not finishing by the looks of things ?
@Jaime aww.. I’ve never read Dickens .. you shouldn’t force yourself to read. Just take a break for a while and come back to books with a fresh mind โค
I don’t count them. Just read for the pleasure it gives me.

I hope so. Thank you (:

I’m glad to know that ?

Dividing equally by days that means reading 2.6 books in one day.
OMG!! That’s incredible!! ?

Iโm currently still on 27, probably wonโt keep up with my book a day girl though as these next two days are about to be crazy hectic.
It’s awesome !! And you really gave me a good idea to try reading a book every day ?
And don’t feel bad if you can’t keep up with your goal, 27 books in a month is already a great achievement ! โคโค
@Malja Itโs really fun. Even if you just do it for a week.
@Angelica I’ll try it for sure ?
I read 4
On 21 right now
Great !! ??
@Malja thank you! I’m on medical leave, otherwise that number would not be that high, lol

Don’t feel bad.. It’s all good as long as you keep reading the ‘number’ of books doesn’t matter โค

Only 3.
I think 3 so far. I listen to one while I walk and also read another on my kindle. So doing 2 at the same time.

@Kayla yeah.. it must be difficult.. but I’m happy you still take out time to read ?โค
I read three!
Iโm trying to finish my third. I think anything over a book a day is probably illegal. ?
Reading slump ;(
Ugh no! Re-read an old favourite?
Aww.. take a break.. or try to read your favourite book..
Watching Booktubers or Bookstagram posts help me overcome reading slump..
I just realized I only finished one ?, but I started 3 and one of them is 500 pages.
You’re doing great ! Just keep reading โคโคโค

4 1/2…so far.
Including the 1 I’m still reading? 1.
11 so far.
Great !! ?
4 I believe. I tend to average 1 a week when I am reading on a daily basis. Use to have numbers like you. ha
Hehe.. your approach of 1 book a week is a better I guess โค ?
During my summers as a kid I could put away 1 a day with ease, but now as a father, employee of 45-50 hours a week, and general home owner – well I have very limited time, but I do try to fill it with a good book.
I read a few chapters… ?
It’s okay.. just keep reading โค

1 book & almost done with a 2nd! Im a really slow reader ๐
I’m also a slow reader.. I mostly read 2-3 books a month.. but I was participating in a reading game that’s why I could read 10 books.. ?
So.. don’t feel bad and keep reading โค
One. And happy to have had the time to get through it.

4. I think. I’m constantly reading, so it’s hard to keep track of when I started reading what.
I use Goodreads! it will keep track for you! ??
Second this! Goodreads for the win!
I love goodreads. Makes reading and keeping track of what i want to read so easy.
I read in average 2 books a month.
That’s good ?
Prob 4-5
6 that I finished. I started like 12 others and I’m hoping to finish one or two of those before the 31st.

Getting close to retirement….really ready.
I originally said 3 but totally forgot the 3 I read on vacation.

6 so far and Iโm about to finish 2 more today.
Great ?
6, but they were part of a series and I’m working on the book Dune now, so that might be another series I’m drawn into for the next month or so.
I’m glad to know ?
@Malja I try not to read for numbers sake, but whenever I get into a series I usually devour it. This case was no exception.
@Beau same here ! ?
I also don’t focus on numbers.. I read cause I love reading ?
Heard Dune was a really good series.
@Julie I’m only on the first few chapters but so far the political intrigue and the tension between the characters that haven’t even met yet is addictive.
@Beau like 1984 and the Brave New World, the political aspect?
@Julie I don’t think it’s as good as those, but yeah, something like that, at least so far. It’s got a patriarchal hierarchy, so I don’t know yet how that would parallel to 1984. I still haven’t gotten around to reading Brave new World to my shame. Its on my WTR list though so I will get to it eventually :/

“Be not afraid of going slow, be afraid of standing still” Chinese proverb I think. ?
True! Very good proverb.
