First time took me a bit to get into so I put it down (100 pages in) picked it back up a few months later and i couldn’t put it down!! Definitely worth the read!!
One of my favorite reads ever. I think the 1980 Edition is better, but the 1990 re-write is good to see how things changed. The additional material does not make the book any better. Just more story.
I couldn’t finish it after about 1/2 of it. It just didn’t impress me like some of his others. Some of his I absolutely HATE, like The Girl Who Loved Tom Green or whatever that one was…some I LOVED like Pet Semetery, Gerald’s Game & The Green Mile .
OMG!!! One of my FAVORITE Stephen King novels. I’ve read that book several times and then invested in the extended version when it came out. All very excellent.
I really enjoyed the TV episodes as well. I believe it was the first time I’d seen Gary Sinise act. (They’ve talked about making a movie but I honestly don’t think they could do the book justice in two hours.)
Anyway, if you haven’t had a chance to read it, it’s definitely worth the time invested.
I am about half way through the extended version and I am really liking it. I didn’t realize it was written so long ago until one of my friends told me. Its taking me a while since its around a thousand pages give or take.
Its such a long book you start to live there in your head. It’s a culture shock when you’ve finished and are back in the here and now. ?”Where did all these ppl come from? ?
I have mixed feelings about it. I think overall I loved it but there where some little things that happened that irked me or I thought weren’t written well
My favorite King book.
I liked it! Read it many years ago and I still think it’s one of Stephen Kings best.
I read it back in 1980 – Scary stuff !!!

One of his best!
Working on it
Read it years ago. It was ok. I’d read it again if my TBR stack isn’t so big. Once I read it I need to move on.
No but I want too
