I liked that one too. Another favorite is Handling the Undead. I’ve read everything of his translated to English, and loved every one.

@Denise I’ll have to look for that one! I liked the movie versions of Let The Right One In too. Especially the Swedish version. Super creepy atmospheric cinematography.

I just looked up Handling The Undead! I must own this book!

@Janene zombie book alert!!!

In his new novel, John Ajvide Lindqvist does for zombies what his previous novel, Let the Right One In, did for vampires.

Across Stockholm the power grid has gone crazy. In the morgue and in cemeteries, the recently deceased are waking up. One grandfather is alight with hope that his grandson will be returned, but one husband is aghast at what his adored wife has become.

A horror novel that transcends its genre by showing what the return of the dead might really mean to those who loved them.

He was hard to find in English a while back. Btw the DVD on the left is the Swedish movie in subtitles. And the one on the right is the American remake.

Let Me In, Handling the Undead, Harbor, Little Star, Itsy Bitsy, and the new one, I’m Behind You, and a short story collection, Let the Old Dreams Die. All are good. Happy reading!

Yes he did “Let the right one in.” Brilliant novel and the original Swedish movie was great, the American remake not so much.
