Crime and Punishment. It’s depressing. I guess one would assume that from the title. Lol.

Read it many years ago. Certainly not a light read. It is Dostoevsky ‘s more accessible novels. I doubt I would ever reread it but glad to say I got through it. The Brothers Karmazov was a real struggle to finish.

Is it good ? I thought that i want read it but i have Frequency I love Dostoevsky’s novels but I don’t know ?‍♀️ .. do you advice me read it?

@Werdet It is a great piece of literature and should be read. It has slow parts but the few Russian novels I have read seem to be very heavy and plodding at times. I would not recommend to a casual or light reader. A serious reader or perhaps someone wanting to learn to write it is a must read. Good luck. One day I would like to tackle War and Peace myself.

Left me with a feeling of dread throughout the entire novel. I’ve got to admit that was new. Would love to find more books that can bring that kind of feeling.

I read it in high school. I’ve always been an avid reader and I found it tough…. With that being said, it’s a powerful story. Definitely worth the effort.

Omg I love it. But it’s a very intense book. It needs proper attention and time to understand the events and characters in that particular era. But it’s a gem!

I did in high school. It was one of the few books I read in high school that I enjoyed, but I don’t feel a burning need to reread it.

I just put it down 2 days ago. The writing was great, but it seemed to drag on with descriptions. Maybe I’ll give it another try.
