I’m new at reading books. So I’ve only read books by Colleen Hoover which she is amazing. But now I’m wondering what other authors are out there especially in the mystery section.
There are some great mystery series by these authors: Alys Clare, Jacqueline Winspear, Dick Francis, William Kent Krueger, Nancy Atherton, Ellis Peters, Alexander McCall Smith and Charles Todd.
If you like cozy mysteries, I’d recommend A Dark and Stormy Murder and Death in Dark Blue by Julia Buckley. If you like psychological mysteries, Ruth Rendell is queen. I’d start with A Judgement in Stone. For a classic whodunnit, The Thin Man by Dashiell Hammett or Who Killed Roger Ackroyd? By Agatha Christie. The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins is regarded as one of the first mysteries ever written. Gillian Flynn’s Dark Places or Sharp Objects are wonderful modern day mysteries.
What mystery authors have you enjoyed previously?
