Monica Ferris-Needlecraft Mysteries,
Anything from Agatha Christie, Jamaica Inn by Daphne DuMaurier, Sydney Sheldon
Jessica Beck, Joanne Fluke, Kate Collins, Susan Gillard
I loved Party girls die in pearls by Plum Sykes and Murder at the mill by MB Shaw! Both are the first in a new series.
The Noodle Shop mystery series by Vivien Chien. Death by Dumpling is book #1.
The Country Club murders series by Julie Mulhearn.
I was going to recommend these as well. They are funny and you don’t have to suspend your disbelief too much!
@Michelle Yes! And her grasp of 1970’s history is spot on! (not that the 1970’s is TOO historical, lol! )
I recently discovered the Mahalia Watkins Soul Food mystery series. Book #1 is Murder with Fried Chicken and Waffles.
Karen MacInerney has 3 series which are all very good. The Gray Whale Inn Series, Dewberry Farm and Margie Peterson Mysteries. Of the 3, The Gray Whale Inn is my favorite.
@Susan I enjoy the Gray Whale Inn books too! I’m a sucker for anything Maine. 🙂
Julie Hyzy – white house mysteries
@Carla If you like those, you might like the Kensington Palace Chef series, by Nell Hampton. Book #1: Kale to the Queen.
You can read Sherlock Holmes adventures by Canon Doyle
It really is an interesting series about mystery
If you haven’t read them yet!
And you also have a series by Susan Hill about mysteries
Try Tarquin Hall’s Vish Puri mysteries set in modern Delhi fascinating and fun!
Rhys Bowen, Jenn Mckinlay, Kate Carlisle, Denise Swanson, Julie Hyzy, Susan Elia MacNeal, Victoria Thompson, and Jacqueline Winspear.
Miranda James – Cat in the Stacks series
JC Kenney’s A Literal Mess. First book in a new series.
Louise Penny, Agatha Christie, Deborah Crombie, Camilla Lackberg. All are excellent.
28 1/2 wishes. It’s a great mystery! Starts and finishes strong too! Fyi-its a series
Kate Carlisle’s Fixer-Upper Mysteries. (They were on Hallmark. The movies are pretty good, but the books are even better.)
I like the mystery series by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling)
I like anything by Diane Mott Davidson- they deal with a small town caterer. And any of “The Cat who…by Lillian Jackson Braun are good too. And anything by G.A. McKevett- Savannah Reid mysteries. All books you can read in one sitting and do leave you with a satisfied cozy feeling!
Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore by Matthew Sullivan
Witch City mysteries by Carol Perry. Very cute with a cute cat in them.
I love Amy Vansant and the Pineapple Port Mysteries.
One that I liked is Kristi Abbott’s “Popcorn Shop Mysteries” There are currently 3 books in this series.
My favorite are the her royal spyness series or any Sue Ann Jaffarian.
Oh yes !!! Laura Childs tea shop mysteries. Easy fun books, start with first book so you get introduced to characters.
The Devil Drinks Coffee by Destiny Ford – so good!
Thank you everyone! ?
Coffee house mysteries by Cleo Coyle and The Agatha Raisin series I don’t remember who the author is.
Laura Childs TeaShop mysteries and recipes too. Very popular Cozy Mystery series
Agatha Raisin series and Hamish Macbeth series both by M.C. Beaton.
Diane Mott Davidson Goldie the Caterer series
Any of the Gaslight Mystery novels by Victoria Thompson. I just love her books!!!
The knitting mysteries are quick & easy reads. We enjoyed the Maggie Sefton book.
Correction, Maggie Sefton books – as in, several stories.
I just read On What Grounds by Cleo Coyle and enjoyed it 🙂
The Aunt Dimity series by Nancy Atherton. It’s unusual in that while not every book in her series involves a murder, they always involve a puzzle of some kind. They also have a touch of paranormal to them (I generally am not a big fan of paranormals but this one worked for me).
Sherry Harris’ garage sale mysteries!
Sherry Harris’ garage sale mysteries, Andrea Penrose’s series which is historical, or Charles Todd…the latter are more historical bthsn cozy but quite good! Barbara Ross is also excellent
Check out Ellery Adams
I love both of Kate Carlisle’s Fixer Upper & Bibliophile. As well as these: Lorna Bartlett’s Booktown series, ClaireDonally’s Sunny & Shadow series, and Miranda Janes’ Cat in the Stacks series. Yes, if there’s a librarian or bookstore owner with a cat or a dog, I’m in.
Dorothy Cannell’s Ellie Haskell series is hilarious and the mysteries are solid, very entertaining!
The series by @Laurien. Melanie Travis mystery series. Wonderful.
Laura Childs Tea Shoppe or scrapbooking mysteries.
I absolutely love the Country Club Murders series by Julie Mulhern.
I like Mack’s Bar ones.
Lord and Lady Hetheridge series by Emma Jameson. Ice Blue is book #1
I have enjoyed Rhys Bowen mysteries
Jaine Austen series by Laura Levine
The pink cupcake series by Harper Lin! It’s my favorite ❤️
Following
Flower Shop mysteries by Kate Collins.
Krista Davis Domestic Diva series – Fabulous
Whiteout by Ken Follett was good!
Louise Penney!
Laura Childs, Tradd Street series by Karen White
Louise Penny’s books
Mattie Wilson books by Annalise Ryan
Hmmm… I wouldn’t place Louise Penny in the cozy mystery category. Her canon offers more complex characterizations and provides greater insights into human behavior. In cozy mysteries, recurring characters rarely surprise you. In Louise Penny’s mysteries you get the art world, corruption at the highest levels of law enforcement, drug and alcohol addiction, super guns, a remote monastery, and the vast Canadian landscape we Americans think we know so well. And you get Three Pines, that charming little border village we all wish we could find, so different from the predictable sea coast towns and southern towns that we find in cozy mysteries.
Juliet Blackwell has two great series but my favorite it the Home Renovation series! Even my college age son got into them. Their fun, funny and keep you guessing and oh a ghost or two popping up here and there.
Better Read than Dead series by Terry Farley Moran
Anne George, Southern Sisters Mysteries. An Alabama native.Easy, funny as heck and not very long.

@Brenda I loved her books. I didn’t find her books until after she died (2001) but I did buy a book of her poems which was nominated for a Pulitzer.
@Julie I didn’t know that. I will have to see if I can find it. Thanks.
@Brenda I read every one of the Southern Sisters Mysteries and loved them. I laughed outloud so many times especially at the multi-wed sister.

Royal Spyness series by R Bowen. Awesome!
