Bravo! I so adore the novel. I already promised myself to read it yet again. I also love looking up and seeing the film adaptations. I just love the dialog. Of course, Oscar Wilde is a book unto himself.
I’ve read it 3 times I think, and yes it’s absolutely amazing! I’ll be reading it again soon. The language and witty dialogue combined with the twists and turns makes it a really compelling read. I also enjoy the gothic elements since I’ve never been a fan of reading about everyday events. Why read about things you might experience?
One of my favorite classics and possibly the best piece of writing by Wilde. So in other words, yes I’m in love. <3 finally another to recognize this stories genius.
Lyrical art. The man was fabulous in his words themes. I read ‘the importance of being earnest’ not that long ago. Just a charming comedic satire of a play. hope to pick up his poetry and short stories some time in the year.

The 2009 film is amazing! It is different from the book but captures the concept so amazingly! Its definitely a favourite!
I have only seen the original. I need to see the 2009 version.
Yes you do! I love it
Absolutely love it!! The movie is good too. I can’t wait to go to the Museum of Art in Chicago where the painting is kept. ?
I used to live in Chicago, and yes…what a painting.
WHAT? OK IMMA GOOGLE IT
The painting from the movie. It is the one used at the end of the original 1945 film that shows the decrepit Dorian.
Oh my gosh Ive seen it…I have had nightmares over it
My cousin lives there so I am going to visit her. And the painting. Lol
@Shay jajajaja…time to go to Chicago. If you do, the pizza is lyrical….
Ive meant to visit Chicago for a long time now…Even more reasons to haha
We’ll all meet up and go to the museum and then have pizza.
It will be next summer for me 🙁 Getting visa is hard at the moment
It’s always been one of my favorites.
It’s another one on my list of classics I haven’t managed to get around to reading yet. 😀

Yass
One of my favorite books from him. I rad the book and then watched the movie. Both captivated me.
You’re not alone…I love the book and I gift it almost all of my friend on their birthday. Are you a fan of Lord Henry like me ????
I will have to put that book on my list! Sounds great!
I read it years ago but might have to read it again.
it’s on my “to-read”
ohhhh yeah, it’s good, read it years ago, I think I still have my copy.
That was a great novel. I had to go on an Oscar Wilde binge after it. I stopped at downloading his court trial records.
