I did have a hard time getting into it as well. I haven’t gotten to reading her other one because the first was so blah, but the next book actually sounds better to me and has different characters from what I remember.
She is one of my favorite writers. What stories and characters she weaves. I look forward to her new book. As for In the Woods I found it a well written intriguing book that ranks as a great book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I did and was honestly disappointed with the ending but on the other hand loved part two of her series and liked part 3 will start with the fourth one tomorrow
I enjoyed it. It’s a slow burn like Ruth ware or Robert Goldbraith. I think its an acquired taste because things often don’t move along, but have learned to appreciate the unraveling and nuanced clues.
I thought it was ok and was going to read her next one. I didn’t love it though. I read it for my local book club.
Thanks, I just cant seem to get into it.

I love all her books. I feel that her writing is compelling, and her stories are woven in a way that I like.
Thanks, I am having a hard time getting into it. I will keep going and see where it takes me
I hope you like it.
@Karen sometimes you have to read through that until you are in rhythm with the writing
Loved it

Love Tana French.
Yes, loved it!
Really enjoyed it and the rest of her books…can’t wait for the new one!
Loved it although I would have liked a tidier ending!
It’s part of a series! I didn’t know when I read it!
@Valerie I did not know that!!! What’s the next one?
Ending was the worst ever. I thought it must continue in Book 2 but that’s a completely unrelated story.
I loved it!
I have thoroughly enjoyed all Tana French’s book and in particular, In the woods.
Yessss. Great series ??
I really liked it!
I really liked it. The series is good too. French changes the lead character in each book which I think keeps the series fresh.
Love her writing. Suspense with a twist.
Great book & series.
Very good.
One of my faves!
Very dark. I loved It!
Really enjoyed all her books.

Loved it. (And I am not usually a fan of mysteries.)
I started it but didn’t finish it before I had to return to the library, and I haven’t been motivated enough to get it again.
I read it recently, it’s good! But it’s a bit too long/“lengthy” (pages).. could’ve been shorter and would’ve been as good if not more !
I did and was honestly disappointed with the ending but on the other hand loved part two of her series and liked part 3 will start with the fourth one tomorrow
I did.
I loved it.
I enjoyed it. I will hopefully read the rest. The ending was different!
I really enjoyed it and liked her next two series a lot. I lost interest after they. Personally I think her first books are her best.
I really liked it. The rest of hers are also great. But my favorite is The Likeness.
Agreed!
Me too. Im only about 40% through it and cant seem to get throughout it!
I liked it
Loved it
Loved it!
I did! I’ve read everything I know she’s written since. Loved it. I list her as one of my favorite writers
With you!
Loved loved loved it – different, creepy, nothing wrapped up with bow
I didn’t finish it. I just couldn’t get into it!
Dark and creepy…loved it!
Couldn’t figure it all out! Loved it!
??????
Went on too long with little development and the ending was a big disappointment
I enjoyed it. It’s a slow burn like Ruth ware or Robert Goldbraith. I think its an acquired taste because things often don’t move along, but have learned to appreciate the unraveling and nuanced clues.
I really liked the whole series.
Agreed
That book was amazing! Very suspenseful. Loved it.
Really enjoyed it and I was surprised at not everything being resolved.
I didn’t like it. I found it disturbing.
Loved it – anxiously awaiting her newest book
I liked it. A big fan of her writing.

Loved that book. I still think about it today and I read it years ago when it first came out.
