Olive Kitteridge is one of my all time favorites.
Should read “The Burgess Boys,” too, in that case.
Did you know Olive was made into an HBO miniseries with Frances McDormand?

I adore McEwan! He is one of my top 10 favorite authors! My favorite book of his is “Cement Garden”, “Nutshell” is a close second.
I read “Atonement” when it first came out, then I spent an entire summer reading every single book he wrote up until that point.
Ever since, I wait to see on his website when a new one comes out.
I did not like “Nutshell” or “Solar” at all.
I just discovered Strout less than a month ago!

I like Ian McEwan and Paul Auster. The only Elizabeth Strout I’ve read was Olive Kitterage and I didn’t care for it at all.
The Hours by Paul Auster Olive Kitteredge by Strout are two of my favourite books and Ian McEwan can write like no other.
I like all of Strouts book except her last one.
Lucy Barton was kind of a letdown.
Haven’t read the last one but liked her others
