I usually read if i enjoyed the book!
If I liked the book I just read then I’ll read it! Especially if the excerpt is the next in a series. But even if it’s not and I just enjoyed the author ?
If the excerpt is the next in the series I never read it. Either I want to read that entire next book, or I didn’t like the first book so I’m abandoning the series.
If it’s from a different series, or it’s a standalone book, I read the excerpt.
Depends on the book and my mood honestly
@Jackie same
I used to read them
But then I started getting very confused when I’d start reading the actual book and wouldn’t be able to remember if I’d read it or not ?thankful for Goodreads
I usually skip.
I typically skip.
Skip.
I skip it.
Skip it because I have found that when I start reading that book later, I think I have already read it. ?
Good point!
@Lesley same!
If it’s the next book in the series I skip it because I just want to start reading the actual book.
Skip right along ??♀️
Skip- always. Especially if that book isn’t out yet! Don’t want to read an excerpt if the book isn’t available!
Skip. Sometimes it’s not even the first chapter!
I very rarely read excerpts at the end, new book or next book ?♀️
Skip.
I skip it. I don’t want to get invested in a book I can’t continue reading.
Skip
Typically skip unless I am also really interested in that book
However if it’s already out I skip it
I once read a preview/excerpt that took out a lot so you weren’t reading what was from the book but sections of the first chapter that were spaced out
SKIP!
Ive always read them, never occured to me people wouldnt ?
Skip
Usually skip unless I’m hoping for insights into a cliffhanger
Skip, unless I’m dying for the sequel and it’s a bit off.
Read to see if I would be interested
Skip it. I didn’t come here for that.
Skip it. I didn’t come here for that.

Skip it
Read if its for the next book. Skip if its a different book by the author unrelated to what i had just read

I need the complete book with me if I’m going to read the story

Read!!! I’ve gotten great book recommendations like that
Depends on whether I’m emotionally invested in the current series. If it’s a preview of the next book then absolutely, if not then absolutely not. The last series this happened with was the Alex Verus series and I had to read every book in order, they were that good. If anyone is into urban fantasy I highly recommend them, it’s on to book 8 I think at the minute and they’re super good
I usually read it unless I’m already going to read the next book that is excerpted.
Skip it

I read it!
Read it 🙂
Almost always skip it ? Especially if it’s the next book in a series!
Skip
Read it.
Almost always skip it.
If its a series I always read. If it’s not, then only if I nothing else to read afterwards lol
Meh, skip
Skip
Read it
Skip it. If I’m going to read the book, I’ll want to read it all in one go, so an excerpt will just annoy me.
I read it.
Read it . Prob why my tbr so big ???
Skip
Skip. Especially if it’s next in a series and I don’t have the full book yet.
Read. IMO If the first chapter doesn’t draw you in, nothing will.
Personally skip… I will not start reading it without having the whole book.
Skip. I hate reading one or two chapters.
If it’s an excerpt for another stand alone book, I’ll read it. Only if I liked the book it’s in though. But, if it’s from the next book in the series, I usually won’t.
Skip it lol
I’ll read it only if it’s another book on my TBR. If not, I skip it. Too many books, so little time.
I read it only if it’s the first few pages of the next book I’m reading ?
If I really liked the book and the book for the excerpt isn’t out yet, I’ll read it. If it is, I’ll skip it because I know I’m going to want to read it next anyway and I don’t want to have to reread that part.
