Just finished reading They Both Die At The End. Has anyone read this book?

I didnt get it at the ending. What happened to roof? He was bumped by a car?

Basically yeah, because it’s told from his POV and that’s the moment he dies the story just finishes, a lot of people where confused by it. I took it as he got hit by the car
