Hey Helen, is it for you? Do you / they prefer the idea of the psychological mystery, make you think type of crime books, or the darker, more graphic ones?

The Hannibal Lecter series from Thomas Harris
Kathy Reiches, Tess Gerritsen, Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham , off the top of my head.
Probably some YA books. Their personality and interests would somewhat decide what genre though.
Hmm. Switch, by William Bayer; any of the Dave Robicheaux novels by James Lee Burke, anything by his daughter Alifair Burke; The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris; any number of James Patterson or Robert B. Parker novels. Also try the British crime writers such as Agatha Christe, P. D. James, or any of the Sherlock Holmes books. There are many more. Some of the books among my suggestions are very violent, some aren’t, but they’re mostly all good reads.
James Patterson
Iris Johansen’s Eve Duncan series?
Agatha Christie for sure!
Millenium Trilogy, Alex Cross, Jack Reacher and Harry Bosch series
John Grisham!
If you’re interested there’s a book called You by Caroline Kepnes and it’s old from the perspective of a stalker and it’s quite unsetling
Harlen Coben or Karen Slaughter
The Confession- John Grisham
Patricia Cornwell
John Grisham, James @Patterson
If We Were Villains by M.L.Rio Loved that book! <3 It's also literary fiction, as well, so it's got beautiful writing 🙂
