@Paula i do keep money advice ones like the books from Rachel Cruz and Dave Ramsey. Those of good for reference. I also keep art books. I used to collect them.
In the semi-rare chance that I buy a book I haven’t read before…if I liked it, I will shelve it. If not, I will ask friends if they want it, or donate it to Goodwill. 🙂
I’ll keep certain ones for many different reasons; otherwise I trade/donate. I just couldn’t keep everything I read. I’m already out of room for the unread ones lol
In college I bought books all the time without really looking into them. But now if I have bought a book it means I either borrowed it from the library and loved it or I know I’ll love it. Or it’s a sequel to a series I’ve already started
I keep many of my books. Others I give to a friend who reads as much as I do. I also drop off some at the library in the Chemotherapy waiting room for others to take and read. No better gift than reading.
Up until recently I kept every book I read but now I have learned to pass them on so that I have more room for more books. Obviously there are some I would never part with, they are just too special. I have a few friends who pass books on to me too so between us we are never short of books to read. ?
It varies. If it really moved me I keep it. If I enjoyed it but likely won’t reread it I pass it on to someone. If I didn’t enjoy it or it was mediocre I donate it, like I have this need to be anonymous and not associate with the book for fear my book recommendation status will be reduced ?
All of the above. I keep way too many, of course. I have started donating to a senior citizen home where my granddaughter’s great-grandmother is a resident.
Put them on my bookshelves
So I’m guessing you keep them?
Yes 🙂
I trade them with you! ?
Unless you’ve read it then I trade with someone else, I’m not one to reread books so I like to move them along.
Same. Rarely reread, unless it’s a particular one, like A Christmas Carol

You just set up my next question 😉 lol

It depends. My favorite series, I keep. Others, I pass on, or take to the used book store for money to buy other books. 🙂
I wish there was a used bookstore anywhere near me
http://thriftbooks.com/ 🙂 they have soooooooo much of my money…

Agreed
I’ll also admit I’ve bought a book more than once not knowing I already had it. So I’ll donate the uglier version ?
Donate them once they’ve been round all my friends and family. I keep my favourite books though ?
I keep the special ones like if they’re signed or limited editions otherwise I always donate to charity.
Definitely the signed! Even if some obscure never heard of author, you never know!

It depends. I keep ones by certain authors. Give away others. Sometimes sell a few
Definitely. I’d give away my kid before my Shirley Jackson’s lol
I keep my favourite books, I have a shelf of books I’m keeping for my nieces & the rest are in boxes, I give them away x
I kept my Liane Moriarty books (which I will no doubt loan out), like @Paula I keep my Shirley Jackson books, I’m very “back off from
Shirley!” ??
“burn after reading” ?
Don’t you mean delete lol
Btw, that movie kinda sucked lol
Did it? Never watched it.
Don’t bother
I keep all of them, so obsessed with books it’s impossible for me to part with them
Most of them are on my Kindle app. But I plan on either taking them back to the local book store for a credit or taking them to our local Wicap.
Unless it’s an epic failure of a book, I keep it. I have my own library.

Keep
Yes (to all answers)
I rarely keep books. I usually send some to my sister, donate some to the library, and sell some to Half-Price books.
I keep some. I give some away. I trade. Depends on how well I like the book.
All of the above. I keep way too many, of course. I have started donating to a senior citizen home where my granddaughter’s great-grandmother is a resident.
I take them to our used book store for trade. The ones they don’t want I offer to friends or get them boxed up.
If I like/love them, I keep them.
If I don’t, I give them to friends or donate them.
Add to my library! Yes, the room meant to be a theatre room (little lounge room really) we made into a library…
Donate
Give them to my mom mostly. We book swap each other a lot. Since my blog has started to get more views I’m going to start doing giveaways.
