To get a kindle as an E reader or no?
Tara #review #e-book
I vote yes! Specifically the Paperwhite.
If you want a dedicated reading device that you can read in any lighting, with no glare, and decreased eyestrain, I say the Kindle Paperwhite.
Love my paperwhite
I have a kindle fire I bought last year or year before. Love it
So the paperwhite is a kindle as well? I have much to learn. Lol
Yes for sure
Can you use hoopla for downloading library ebooks on kindle?
@Loba if you have a fire kindle which you can easily root then yeah you can. I use Libby for it which is similar to hoopla.
@Efterpi great thanks!
Yes! But there’s a new Paperwhite coming out soon. Waterproof and double the storage I believe… you MIGHT want to hold out and see what sort of feedback it gets. Might be worth the wait…!
Kindle Papsrwhite is fabulous. Can read indoors or outdoors with no glare off the screen. Love mine. I actually have two so that one is always charged.
Yup I have the ?
The new paperweight that comes out in November looks amazing not gonna lie. I’m getting a 32gb one.
I just wish the paperwhite would do Scribd! ?
What is Scribd? please.
A subscription book service. $9 a month for a vast selection. I use it and the library for almost all my reading.
Yes. Paperwhite. I love mine. Just got it.
Yes go for it. Download overdrive and read when you have turned off the lights.
Yes! I love my oasis
I like mine.
But which kindle?
@Matthew I’m not sure.
Kindle Paperwhite is awesome!
yes kindle paper whte
I have a kindle fire and love it. It’s basically my ipad. I do everything on it. Read, Facebook, email. I rarely use my laptop anymore. I read both on kindle and paperback. Definitely worth the money imo!
yes and they just announced the new one today 🙂
specifically the paperwhite especially if you like to read everywhere and want a more book experience
Kindle Paperwhite is a great e-reader.
Yes! I love my Paperwhite!
Yes, get the new paperwhite that’s coming out
You cannot smell the book if you use Kindle…
Yeah so no dust or mildew ?
For me it’s a no. I love holding my book’s in my hand.
I had been just reading real books, but decided to buy a paper white Kindle during a sale. I am reading my first book on it The Martian! I really think I read faster on it, than I do with books. Loving it!
Yes, I’m packing for a European cruise. Don’t want to pack a bunch of library books or keep my husband up with th light on so I can read. No other practical choice.
My daughter bought me a $200 one a few years ago..I used it so much I burnt it out…got another one the following year ( a bit cheaper) and really dont use it much at all..I love books! But I can say the Nexus brand reader is amazing!
@Celeste what is Nexus reader…never heard of it
@Himanshu, its a reader / tablet…the one I have now is like that too.
@Celeste but a tablet has glare n blue light…much better is Kindle ereader
Himanshu possibly…Ive been using tablet for about 7 years now, Ive never had a problem.
On both of them that Ive had, you can change the font, size and color.
@Celeste I’ve kindle n used a Samsung tablet,but kindle is wayyyyyyy better… Doesn’t hurts my eyes
yes, I didn’t want to when I did but because it holds so many more books than I can put in my house, I did.
Yes yes yes…… but I’ve just read there’s a new Paperwhite coming out in November – this one is waterproof (reading in the bath cones to mind)! I might need an upgrade
Yes. I very much enjoy my Paperwhite. Try one. They’re releasing a new model next month.
The Kindle Paperwhite is wonderful, it’s the only one I’ve found that doesn’t give me horrible headaches and eyes strain after hours of reading ^.^ Only downside is the organization of the books, I wish there was an easier way to do it—or at least more options. ^.^
I got a fire tablet, so that I could feel like I’m getting more use out of it. But so far I only use it to read books ?
PS I do love it though!
Absolutely! My hubby gotten me one 4 years back and I’m loving every secs with it.
I love my Kindle Fire.
Kindle paper white!! Avoid a fire. They make your eyes hurt.
YES! Although I do love my Fire and use it to read all the time.
Kindle old books are free.
Get the new Paperwhite!! Will be one of your best investments!!
What is the difference between paperwhite and fire? I’ve never had an electronic reader before, never interested me but I am considering one now I have a 3 month old. I haven’t read much due to always having my hands full and I think a kindle would be helpful for a bit of reading without switching on a light?
@Serenity I use my paperwhite to read in bed at night. I’ve also heard they are the best for reading outside – no glare from the sun.
@Serenity they are also great for travelling and the battery life is much much longer than a tablet.
Mostly the difference is in battery life AND screen. There’s a difference that the fire functions closer to a tablet too, but when it comes to books/reading those are the two main ones. Amazon shows a bit of a comparison “chart” too to help buyers decide but honestly… the Paperwhite is superior BY FAR if ALL you’re using it for is reading.
I love mine. Life has not been the same ever since.
I’d say yes. My neice loves hers
Nope. Waste for money.
i love my kindle!
Yes, the Paperwhite?
No. Use the kindle app on your phone. It’s cheaper.
Always yes… you’ll never get out of shelf space. You will be powerful enough to carry 50-100 books in your bare hands… 🙂
Get an ereader with front light and that’s compatible with multiple formats. Kindle is only compatible with .mobi
I’m a book lover. My books are like security blankets when I look around and see them. Sorry! Not anything else for me. I like the feel of a book.
Yes, yes, yes! I spoilt myself to an oasis which is fab but I had a paper white before and it’s just as good. Really worth taking the plunge
I have a Samsung Galaxy tab. Is this the same as a kindle? I get books from my library. This gives me 14 days to finish reading it. I didn’t realize I had to have wifi to be able to use it. Bummer.
Definitely. Get it during Black Friday offers
Kindle Paper White. Love it. I can carry ALL my books and TBR stack in my back pocket. Very convenient. I can read in the dark. Also, I can read it and use both hand to eat. I understand the good feeling that holding a paper book gives; it was difficult for me to make the change to an ereader. Last night I started reading a hard-bound booki, but the print was too small. I grabbed my Kindle, played with the adjustable font (bigger and changed the style) and read until I Zzzzzz’d.
yes but i use ipad for ebook. i dont have kindle.
I just used my iPad with the kindle app.
Yes!!! Best purchase ever once you get used to them!!
yes, love mine.
Kindle PaperWhite for sure. I have one and absolutely love it!
I’m on my second Nook. Because I’m a nerd and a book hoarder, sometimes I just have to have a book right NOW. The Nook makes this possible much of the time. It’s a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Nook so it’s also a tablet that I can check my emails on, go on Facebook, play games – oh and read books on. I love it. It’s also easy to take to the gym and read books while I’m on the treadmill. (this is starting to sound like a commercial).
Whatever suits your taste.love hardcover myself…
I like the paperback books better
Absolutely, and grab “Cautivador” first!
New paperwhite coming our November 7th with Audible and its waterproof
I do like my kindle paperwhite but I miss the page turner buttons that were on the old kindles.
I still have one like that. I do much more prefer the buttons than the touch screen. I have a Nook with a touch screen. Prefer the buttons on my kindle.
YES. Great for flexible access to anything you want to read, anywhere!
I tired using my kindle fire as an e reader and I didn’t like it as I found it hard to read outside so I got oasis and I love it
I love my kindle paper white. It’s great for reading outside or in the dark and awesome for traveling
