Daphne de Maurier Rebecca. She also wrote the birds, made into the film by Hitchcock, but it’s set in Cornwall.
I know I’m on my own here but my favourite author is Martin Amis. Read times arrow. Or London fields. Not later stuff though.
The Dry by Jane Harper. I’m currently reading this intriguing crime novel, set in an Australian drought stricken town. An excellent page turner.
