If you like reading about old fashioned vampires set in a modern world then there’s the WVMP series by Jeri Smith-Ready 🙂 it’s a 4 part series, the main character is a con artist who takes a job at a radio station rum by a set of vampires all from different time periods and she obviously runs into a bunch of problems throughout but the main one being is she haso to try and save the station from being taken over and keeping the vampires’ real identities a secret. It’s so good! Not enough people seem.to have heard about it. I just re-read the series a couple of weeks ago. wicked Game is the title of the first book 🙂

Young Adult
I just don’t think Harry Potter is for YA category..I still watched the movies in order to understand the books..even my children keep on insisting me to read first..than only watch he movies..
Now I’m struggling to understand the fantastic beasts…lol
They are classed as YA here in the UK. My 7 year old has just started reading the first one & is loving it!
Pretty much any book which has a main character under 18 is classified as YA.

James Patterson’s Maximum Ride series…Marie Lu’s Legend series
Infernal Devices series I’ve heard is good, from the same author as Immortal Instruments. Apparently she’s grown as an author since her debut series, and I’m looking forward to reading it.
The Book Thief.
Diary of a Young Girl.
Fault in our Stars.
My Sister’s Keeper.
There’s also The Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz, the Miss Peregrine Home for Peculiar Children trilogy, The Trylle trilogy by Amanda Hocking, and the Bloodlines series, which is a spinoff series from Vampire Academy.

Shatter me series. Winners curse series. Throne of glass. A court of thorns and roses. City of bones. Trust me these are the best ones you could ever read
Anything by Trudi Canavan.
As in, anything she’s ever written. “Anything” is NOT the title of the book 😛
Katarina Molander can you tell me if you liked this series or if it’s part of a series?
I’ve been thinking about putting this on my TBR.
It’s a great series, but I personally prefer Black Magician Trilogy, Traitor Spy Trilogy and Age of the Five Trilogy. As I said, I love all books Canavan’s written. Millenium’s Rule Trilogy (Thief’s Magic is part one) is great, but it’s a bit slower and she’s added some science fiction elements to it.
@Yannie Do it! She’s a fantastic author. If you start out with “Black Magician Trilogy” (as I think you should if you’re interested in YA), I’d recommend reading the prequel “The Magician’s Apprentice” first. It’s a stand alone prequel set way before BMT and it explains a lot of the mysteries you’ll encounter in BMT.
Thank you Katarina Molander. I will start with that one.
It has to be on my TBR list though lol.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children?
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
Narnia Chronicles

Try ‘The Testing’ series by Joelle Charbonneau. It’s really well done, very much Hungry Games mixed with Divergent.
I just finished Everything Everything by Nicola Joon and it was great!
The Perks of being a Wallflower
Fangirl
Lord of the Flies
The unwound series is very good.
