For my all time favorite I have to cheat and pick a series in a volume; the Chronicles of Narnia. I did just finish The Doomsday Book and felt that it was an excellent read.
You’d have to narrow it down a bit by genre, but a few favorite YA books are: Six of Crows The Scorpio Races Eleanor & Park Everything by Cassandra Clare
Ooh, hard to choose, I love so many books, fiction and non-fiction alike. For fiction, The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak, and for non-fiction, Notes From a Small Island, by Bill Bryson.
My all time favorite series is The Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor, my all time favorite stand alone is a tie between The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah and The Light of Paris by Eleanor Brown
The mysterious stranger by Mark Twain, The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir, The myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus, The art of Happiness by Epicurus, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, Miracles and Idolatry by Voltaire, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, The country of the blind by Wells, Catcher in the rye by Salinger, The Samurai by Shusaku Endo.
